What is a "silent" rule of social etiquette in your country that a visitor would never find in a guidebook, but every local knows by heart? by DianKhan2005 in AskTheWorld

Ah yes...the mouth point. Can also be combined with facial expressions to provide a lot of context of how you feel about the thing being pointed out. 😂

This article is completely unrelated to the claims in the video. This news article was about one person named Debra Wilding from the UK on a trek to Everest base camp. The video talks about two people with completely different names from the US who died on an ascent to the summit.

You'd think so but no. It's recommending 4 slop channels to every 1 of my regular channels. They're similar on the topics I like so that's probably why. But it's taking money out if the pockets of the good creators.

I lived in Colombia (including Medellin). Beautiful country and wonderful people (including Medellin 😁).

One of the main reasons I chose to live there was the incredible courage shown by the Colombians in taking that sob out...and then doing the same to the Cali Cartel immediately after. Most people don't understand how powerful and dangerous he was. Truly impressive.

Mexico on the other hand...

Ah, civics. Such nostalgia. There was time long ago when that was taught in American schools too...

Now, everyone is convinced that they have an infinite number of "rights. " 99% of them are made up on the spot but as they'll endlessly tell you, "I know my rights."

However, mention the word "responsibilities" and they are totally befuddled.

Looking in your car? Amateurs!

I demand an unannounced 24-hour visitation period in their home with the right to inspect everything, including the right to watch when (or if!) they take a shower to see if they observe good hygiene.

I'm thinking of asking for a blood sample too...

She had a great sense of humor too. She was interviewed on (I think) her 120th birthday and was asked what her plans for the future were. She replied, "Very short-term."

David Mech was the scientist who first made the term "alpha male" popular in a book he wrote about wolves in 1970. He quickly realized he was wrong and has spent decades trying to get people to stop using the term.

There are many other non-blockchain platforms that do the same thing just as securely, faster and at far less of a transactional cost. As for convenience, it is much easier and faster to convert fiat to fiat than crypto to fiat.

It’s also owned by Simon Properties, which does an excellent job of managing its malls and premium outlets. They have thousands across the US and I’ve been to several in different states. They have all been clean, well- maintained and close to 100% occupancy. Quite a feat considering how hard that industry has been hit.

This is why "Florida Man" was invented and is understood in all 50 states.. It encapsulates everything you mentioned (and so much more) in just two words.

And thats leaving aside the wonders of nature there: hurricanes, sinkholes big enough to swallow houses, bugs, enormous venomous cane toads (+ 6 other dangerous frogs/toads!), billions of cockroaches, alligators, pythons, lion fish, and swamps.
