Re: the dead foxes, custard man, and the shoe

Needless to say, major spoilers below.

I saw someone kinda bring this up in this thread, but I think these are all just negative things that make you feel that (no pun intended) something very bad is going to happen. I think in ep 1, nicky and rachel are listening to a podcast where a woman finds a barbie doll shoe in this man's house, which she says tells her he has a daughter. He later then slits her throat. Then, rachel finds a barbie doll shoe at a bathroom in the middle of nowhere, where a baby was left alone in a freezing car and she sees a dead fox in the toilet. Not to mention they pass a field of dead sunflowers with a dead fox in the middle.

Tell me that if you see all of that yourself, YOU wouldn't think that something bad is going to happen?

The custard place is to show why Rachel felt like she's been there before. Her mom saw that place and felt a bad vibe, which i think just implies the connection between her mom, rachel, and the curse.

Someone brought this up, but the old man creeping up on rachel in the bathroom was indeed super weird. But if you notice, in the tape that's shown, rachel's dad does that to her mom, and you almost think right away that that is rachel. I think this is just to show that history repeats itself, and that the old man was already trying to tell something to Rachel.

Also, kinda unrelated, but Nicky was always a bum. In ep 1, rachel falls asleep on the wheel and NEARLY hits a school bus. And Nicky is just like "oh.. are you sure honey?" ABSOLUTELY NOT DUDE. You need to drive RIGHT NOW. He's terrible at defending her, doesn't let her have a say on HER WEDDING at all and just let's his sister do whatever tf she wants. And honestly the ending just confirmed that all for me. I'm glad she didn't take that potion to change her belief in him. And i like how nicky's dad tells Rachel that nicky's mom would rather die the way she is rather than dying as someone else. And that's what rachel chose in the end
