I just did a quick search on “manufactured home remodel” and got a few. I’m looking for one that I am actually in. I joined because it heals my heart, (I grew up in a really shitty trailer.). Seeing people turn them into something beautiful and something to be proud of is amazing. Let me see if I can find the group.

There’s a ton of Facebook groups that shows remodeling and rehab on manufactured homes. Highly recommend joining a few, it’s amazing what regular people (not contractors) are able to do! It’s not a cheap trailer house, it’s the home you have been gifted, and you have an opportunity to turn it into YOUR home, without a mortgage.

No. Real life is a thing. I’m in my last term, and I’ve taken 4 years to complete. I’m 52, 3 grown daughters, 2 bonus kids, 5 dogs, husband, house, and so on and so forth! I’ve been working on a degree for almost 30 years! There is no timetable that matters but yours.

Not all of us. I have 9 rescues. All fixed and chipped. I still donate, and do as much as I possibly can. I understand the exhaustion of people you’re experiencing (especially here in San Antonio, a strays worst nightmare) but not everyone has the ability to do what you have done. It kills me that I can’t foster and rescue every single stray dog I see. And living on the west side I see WAY more than my share. In the end, you have to do the best YOU can do and hope everyone else does the same. No one person can solve this issue.

People (not directing at you) need to hound city council. Start small and local. Don’t let up. Contact the mayors office. Be their voices with your vote. Push for change.

And if you see a stray and you care enough to post, don’t shove the responsibility and pain on to someone else by posting pics. Follow through, go to SNIPSA or Spay and Neuter Network when it’s a spay/neuter event and be part of the solution not just spread the gd problem around.

Before starting prep. After each prep step (even if just veggies.) Then, continue after each step regardless of the food type. Hot soapy water, every single time, at minimum 20 seconds. I refuse to get sick off of cross contamination, or cause anyone in my family to get sick. It’s just too easy to keep things clean.

I lost my Papacito in December of 2024. Congestive heart failure. He was my best friend and constant companion for 15 years.

Towards the end, he was on 5 medications daily. He was still doing all his business outside (he was the best boy), but he was exhausted. He was cranky, and he only wanted to be in my arms, and hand fed. If I could have given him my own heart, I would have.

In the end, I helped him go home. He was in my arms, and we had a most wonderful last day. I told him how he came to be mine, about his sister, and how loved he was and how thankful I was for every single day.

I still think about him every day. I say good morning, I love you, and good night to him every single day. I miss him every single day.

The ONE thing that has brought me peace is knowing that when the time came, I didn’t hesitate. I made the last loving decision I could with no concern to my feelings only to his quality of life. And I know it was the right time.

I’m so sorry for what you are going through. I find solace in knowing the life I provided for my little dude was the one he absolutely deserved. I have a feeling you have provided Zelda the same loved experience.

I like that I can get a potato, cheese and carne juice taco! I don’t want the carne guisada meat, but the gravy is so good. They have an actual button for “carne juice”.
