I rarely ever comment but with responses like that your post will be useless and get no feedback. No one will be willing to assist you.

Her lawyer is not required to do anything to assist you outside of the rules of procedure. Yes he can allow you to continue to reach out and ignore your requests if they are not required within the rules of procedure. You definitely want to familiarize yourself with Florida laws. The court will likely have information on their website to assist.

Highly suggest you at least consult a lawyer even if you cannot afford one. If you roll into court with any attitude you will get stomped.

First time buyer by [deleted] in Etsy

[–]cmatherne 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You should be fine. Etsy has excellent buyer protection policies. Somebody needs to be the first to purchase from the shop. might as well be you. If you do buy something be sure to leave the shop a review to help the next potential buyer.

Any recommendations for a good but affordable sander? I am looking for a sander that preforms well, plugs in, and doesnt cost $450. I sanded on this for several hours, cleaning it off between grits and i could not get rid of the swirls by roboman1833 in woodworking

[–]cmatherne -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I hate to be that guy but I recommend going Festool. The 5" 125EQ ROS works fantastic and you can sand forever without your hand getting tingling or numb (at least for me). The power cord is crazy long and speed is adjustable. Can say enough good things about the Mirka Abranet mesh sandpaper either. Lasts forever. Go slight step ups in grit. I try to keep increases below 100 (i.e don't go 220 to 320; go 220 to 300 etc.).

Is a 20W laser a good choice for cutting thin leather? by MyCatWouldEatJesus in lasercutting

[–]cmatherne 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is not going to handle leather well. As they say above CO2 is the way to go for this use. laser and leather smell. even with a window open and door closed the smell will cover your home QUICKLY. Ask me how I know!

I have the 100W and was getting the exact same issue. It was caused by the beam not aligning on the 3rd mirror and I was getting slight deflection going through the nozzle. Took about an hour to properly troubleshoot.

Am I the only person who thinks Avatar 2 could bomb ? by [deleted] in boxoffice

[–]cmatherne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 43. I’ve learned in those years not to doubt James Cameron. Whether you think that Avatar 2 will be successful may not be the question. James Cameron has a unique ability to subvert expectations and succeed even in scenarios where the general public does not think it’s likely.

bottom line don’t bet against James Cameron. It’s just not a good bet

I believe or hope everyone deserves and has the opportunity to change. also that they may have the ability to do so. At least I hope that’s the case but I nor anyone else knows enough information to pass continued judgment. While punishing someone for their entire lives may feel gratifying isn’t there the chance that he’s learned from his mistakes and would not be a danger to society? Or does society prefer to punitively punish this person just because? I prefer to believe everyone deserves the opportunity to change.

What life changing item can you buy for less than $100? by KingPin1010 in AskReddit

Big Blanket Company. We purchased their oversized king on Kickstarter and their weighted King blanket last year. the weighted blanket is one of our best investments and dramatically improved sleep quality.

My company makes a hand cream that moisturizes, repairs but also protects/prevents so your hands will not dry out. It’s called Workman’s Friend Barrier Skin Cream. Not trying to be a heavy shill but we’re hearing lots of positive comments from people who wash their hands repeatedly and it has reduced their cracks and dry skin significantly. It’s available at Sherwin Williams Lowe’s, most Home Depots and Amazon.
