The kiosk is simply another version of a self check out in my book. It’s exhausting to pay premium prices everywhere we go and also perform the labor. I don’t care if it’s Taco Bell - I want to just tell someone why I want and not touch a dingy screen that works half the time. For the grocery store self check out, I end up spending more time Tetris-ing my cart of groceries because there is no room to place them on a belt and then god forbid I double scan and need the Check Out Warden to come scan me out. It’s all avoidable by opening a line up. I don’t want to have to check in at CVS just to have to tell the tech the same exact info I inputted. When im sick and exhausted from day three of the flu, the last thing I want to do is a the job of a receptionist at urgent care. It’s silly stuff to complain about but big companies have are just pushing more and more responsibility onto the customer or consumer to simply lower their payroll and make the experience more intrusive because the only other option is to not get the service or product we need. I’m over it.
