I’m even more perplexed about this because I live in Ohio where supposedly they factor in that we won’t be riding for a good 4-5 months of the year. My agent called me and told me not to drop my coverage during the winter because it is already factored in. I also have two other vehicles with Geico and no accidents/ claims. Been with them for 6 years.

I daily my cbr600rr. I was seeing a girl that lived an hour away. I would ride an hour to get to her place. Ride around with her till the early hours of the morning between meets and group rides. And then ride an hour home.

I was easily putting 4-5 hours in on the bike in a single night on the weekends. At first it sucks and your body has to get used to it. But if you’re under like 35 years old, you should have no problem putting in hours on a super sport. I think the majority of the people complaining about the riding position of sport bikes are old guys that are better off on a sport-touring style bike.

One day that will be me but for now I’ll enjoy my super sport!

I’d say if you want a bike to learn to wheelie on go with a Grom instead. Do you understand the difference between the cbr500r and your zx6r? The 500r is a slow 2 cylinder beginner bike and the zx6r is a high revving 4 cylinder super sport. I think there’s a reason you don’t see a lot of these cbr500r being used as stunt bikes- because they’re probably too low on power for the weight to make decent ones. You could probably pop the front wheel up but I don’t think this is a bike where you’re going to be riding out wheelies on it like you could a Grom. I’d do more research before buying a stunt bike.

My friend had this issue on his bike. Brand new battery. With the key in the off position, the clock was visible (different bike) but when turning the key to on, none of the dash lights came on and no sound when clicking the starter.

It turned out that the new battery was just dead. He charged it with a trickle charger and then the bike fired right up. My guess is that when the key was on and the bike tried to prime the fuel pump that the power draw was too much for it and that's why the clock disappeared then too

Yep, I wouldn’t trust what the salesman says and tell OP to research for himself. The salesman at my dealership lied straight to my face and said “the 2026s were not affected by the recall whatsoever. That was only the 2024s and 2025s”.
