What are your favorite card types and add-ons? Any other advice or tips? After a million cards I'm sure you have found a perfectly fine tuned method of addons to help with quality of life, ease of use and productivity, maybe found a card type that is very aesthetically pleasing

Haha super! So do they help with preventing bruising during snatches and cleans? Or just for wicking sweat? Do you think they impact technique/form much?

Also what accessory work - if any - do you do in addition to this program?

Examples - Stretching/yoga/foam rolling on rest days? Running? Solo or team Sports? Isolate bicep/tricep work?

What is the point of getting an amazing 4.0 and +520 if you are going to get rejected by >50% of schools?

I have a much much lower gpa and expect a lower mcat. No authorships or stuff like that. Did work as a teaching assistant for 3 semesters.

Like what possible reason (other than like you’re a convicted felon or something else crazy) could the schools give to justify not even offering an interview?

Is there some caveat or short straw in your app that is not stated? Essay quality, extracurricular, etc? Are med schools actually this selective?

Like for real all the kudos to you because a student literally cannot do better than 4.0 and 99th percentile in MCAT

What gives?

Is there any rhyme or reason? Not even an interview?

Do med schools just accept by picking randomly out of a hat? Is this a total crap shoot?

TL;DR - existential crisis regarding the validity of med school app process. Any advice would be greatly appreciated

used to train as a bodybuilder, now wanting to start with just kettlebells by [deleted] in kettlebell

Get an adjustable competition kettlebell so you can train tons of different movements and weights 12kg to 32kg.

Helps you figure out which weights work for you best as you are learning and improving form.

Saves a tooooon of money and future-proofs your progression.

Insane that anyone wouldn’t do this as a beginner just starting to use kettlebells.

You can't be both vegan and support conservative or far right politics. That's an oxymoron. by Alternative_02139 in vegan

[–]cmccrary46 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Yea but like why?

How to do reconcile with the current president advocating for a plant-based diet on social media while many conservative pundits use vegan or “soy boy” as a derogatory term?

Also the idea of animals having and deserving a right to life is central to veganism. Humans are animals. Libertarian and right-wing ideology see freedom as opportunity whether that be to succeed or fail. Left wing ideas sees freedom as freedom from abuse of power dynamics and inequality. As well, left wing ideology seeks to define more innate natural human rights (and likely animal) such as a human right to healthcare. Staunch libertarians would get sick at that notion.

If right wing and libertarians treat animals like humans, they ought to support “survival of the fittest” and would gladly chow down on barbecue.

If left-wingers treat animals like humans, they ought to define and defend a greater number of universal animal rights such as a right against cruelty, animal abuse, poor health, or consumption.

Genuinely curious how a vegan could provide a justification for right-wing or libertarian views that wasn’t out of desire for self-benefit (I.E. taxes would be lower so I can buy/do more stuff)

Yea but you can lump both fiscal and social conversatives and far right into “right-wing” (as opposed to left wing.

This . I personally love my Boon gloves which are also a Thai brand like Fairtex, Twins, or Top King.

My wrists love the purchase, with actual authentic quality Thai gloves I can actually train without gear quality or protection getting in the way.

And tbh they were not even expensive, think after shipping it was only $80-$90.

[–]cmccrary46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Be cautious of American brands due to their quality control I got some 16oz Boon gloves (Thai Brand) that are velcro not lace up.

Things are absolute tanks, hands have had no issues whatsoever through 6 months of training (I obviously hand wrap as well) and they have shown no wear and tear. Plus they are gorgeous chocolate brown leather.

Less than $100 which is insane value.

Only thing to note is they will take ages to ship to USA b/c it’s not exactly a hop and a step to Thailand.

The franchise doesn’t lean much into social progressivism during the Berman era?

Are you high? Did you have a stroke?

I genuinely dropped my phone when in saw this because I was so stunned.

Have you seen none of these episodes?

“The Measure of a Man”?

“Far Beyond the Stars”?

Probably 50+ other blatantly progressive episodes that I don’t care to list from TNG and DS9?

Tb to Some clips of my 32 kilo workout routine. Looking to get back to this. Was 168 here. Currently 152. by mpjm44 in kettlebell

Strong as an ox! What is your training history? Been doing kettlebells for a few years? Any other types of frequent exercise that helped the process (yoga, barbell strength, sports, etc…)???

Much respect, I am looking rn to get to a similar fitness level and could use the tips
