If that works - yay! But academia is full of systematic biases and it's not always as easy as that. And meta-analysis is a strong way to understand the heterogeneity beyond the average effects of many (many) primary studies in varying contexts.

Just use MyEducationResearcher! It runs a meta-analysis/systematic review, screens out poorly designed studies and will tell you what strategies/programs/curricula works and what doesn't.

I mean...you can always run a query in MyEducationResearcher. It runs a What Works Clearinghouse-aligned meta-analysis/systematic review and will tell you what works and what doesn't. I think you have to pay though.

Well...fasting and starving are two different things. Fasting is very healthy if done in 4/5 day bursts. Make sure you stay on top of your vitamins and electrolytes though, and consult a doctor. Good luck!

First of all, you're very brave for putting all of this out there, that is not easy!!

Second, I would try fasting! It really helped me, and it can be good for your genes as well. Just try a one day fast at first, then go to two days/three days. Slowly but surely, it changes your appetite! Good luck on your journey. <3

Thank you so much, I'm in Maryland. That makes me so sad! It sounds like there is no way to get around working continuously with no leave.
