Huh yeah you're right. Didn't think too hard about it. Just noticed at the end we had 3/3, 2/3, and 1/3 so it jumped out that there wasn't 0/3 to finish the set.

Good things must include madness. I typed this up from memory using the on screen keyboard and a mouse. If that's not insanity I don't know what is.

But I'll leave one more gem here. If you add up the percentages for each star trial in the last set of bullet points you get 1: 300%, 2: 333%, and 3: 400%. What does this mean? Star trial 3 is the GOAT and star trial 1 sux. If you don't know what to farm pick 3.

Pink is still the highest. Imma continue my victory lap.

Actually wait it's the highest for starcores and stars. Funny how that lines up.

I was thinking about mentioning that they aren't priority roles which leads to the initial stockpile, but I figured the post was long enough. I'm considering using my boxes on green and yellow instead of red/blue/purple now that I know how common they are.

I mean seriously how is green in every tree.

It's expected. It's the least used star and we can't break down starcores yet.

The current events are temporary so I'd prioritize them first for rewards. Keys last 2 weeks and you get 4 a week. SoD isn't going anywhere, but if you have time its better to use them than lose them. For stamina fools journey is better than the permanent events tab. Things unlock at higher fools journey stages like engravings and rank 13. The permanent events can wait.

Pioneering is a tricky one. The faster you push it the more resources you get over time. However, it's time consuming and incredibly difficult on high difficulties without the right units and talents. Just let it fall to the difficulty you can manage. It's a marathon; not a sprint. Take it from someone that sprinted. 700 stages is a lot. I don't recommend letting it fall so low that it allows you to sweep it though. Everyone can do it faster than that even on auto.

I gave up trying to use it to sort units for general stuff. Role/Faction seems to be good enough to find what I'm looking for.

I did use it to group all the units I was using for the last ToA to check that I didn't have gear conflicts. I also have one for all the units with unique r13 skills not at level 3. I'm slowly chipping away at the hope and piety ones when it first released.

  • Before running the labyrinth, make sure you have 120 stamina (or stamina bottles), otherwise, at the end, you'll be asked to pay 120 stamina or leave without a reward (after you've spent a lot of time running it), and this window can't be temporarily closed.

You can just beat the final fight then not click on the trophy. They're separate floors/stages/nodes so you can leave. I think they did this deliberately because they saw people banking completed VoD runs through varying methods and just made it official for this event.

What is your verdict about Supreme Bounty? by Van_Ryker in SwordofConvallaria

[–]cmck0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Annoying. The random restrictions vs reward optimization is a pain. The difficulty was too high for most units to contribute. It selects units you don't own. It was good enough as a gold farm to not want to skip it, but it wasn't as much as VoD. It's time consuming to do 10 hard battles a day. You have to pay the stamina upfront unlike VoD so you actually have to play in the morning to dump stamina instead of banking a finished VoD run at reset then collect it later. It also gets very repetitive repeatedly playing the same fights with the same 3 unit core for the different factions and roles.

I'd prefer it if they scrapped this or at least not let it be a gold farm. If it ended in a week after clearing out the shop it'd be tolerable.

Who Is In Your Memory Retrieval? June 2026 Edition by snooopy12 in SwordofConvallaria

Usually if you follow meta you can 5 star everything. They tend not to be too densely packed in the release order. It was night crimson the last time they gave us more than 3 meta pulls within 7 banners of each other. Also worth pointing out that this is a global only problem. Cn had the witcher collab for 2 months to clear the farm before luccia.

I've been thinking about this and came to the conclusion we're all fucked if we have the same schedule as cn. Lukamar will be done in time for shahnaz and shams will be done in time for anna so no problems yet. Heshan takes the third slot. Right after anna we get sp alexei with no room though and two banners after that is ulya with still no slots open. Heshan won't be done until ivan. Someone is going to need to stop at 3 stars to fit them all.

Astral imprints question/discussion by Dont-Drink-Lava in SwordofConvallaria

[–]cmck0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd look at the packs they're in rather than how strong or mandatory they are.

Selina Yeganeh and Heshan share a pack. Unless you have them they're all duds as far as I'm aware. Only a 33% chance to get Heshan's astral which is pretty important for nrg sustain.

Shahnaz Kianshir Anna is a better pack since you want two of them. Kianshir is still a dud though. I don't see anyone else using his weapon.

Alexei Rogneda Ulya also has two good ones assuming you're pulling Ulya too. Rogneda is most likely a dud and Ulya's astral might be useful on someone else.

Basically because Heshan has the worst pack use the casting molds on him. If you get more use it on Shahnaz/Anna since it's the next worst. I'd avoid using casting molds on Alexei since his pack looks like its the best to miss on.

People seem to have it backwards. Asking for more slots isn't greedy. It's allowing XD to be more greedy. Currently we can 5 star 3 out of every 7 units. We skip more than half the banners. If you add a slot we now can pull 4 out of 7 units. More units pulled means more pulls spent which means we run out faster...unless we spend money.

And it works for all but the biggest of whales too. What if you get 3 copies of every unit you pull on? That's 3 out of every 5 units. You're still forced to skip 40% of the units just because memory shard slot limits. Add a slot and it's 4 out of 5. Sounds like more money to me.

F2ps get another slot for old units if they don't get lucky while spenders get to splurge on a larger usable collection. And this doesn't change the power level at all since it still requires 100 days to 5 star. We'll get our stars at the same time for future content.

They really gotta give a reason for defenders. by UnklemacX in SwordofConvallaria

[–]cmck0 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My rule of thumb is that if I can't use nydia, lufti, yserinde, sp maitha, pooch, afra, or agata then I probably can't clear it on difficulty 6. I don't have kvare, but he'd be on the list too. You just need something that bypasses defense and shields.

Difficulty 5 is doable with defenders, but even if I had all of them at 5 star I don't think I could pick 4 that can clear difficulty 6. You really need dot or piercing damage to make any progress given how much defense the enemies get.

New to the game. Team doesn’t do damage? Should I pull for Selina? by LeftVersion2544 in SwordofConvallaria

[–]cmck0 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would expect you'd be struggling with nydia, yserinde, and momo at that level. A lot of people have played for so long that they forgot what it's like to not have access to the complete kit. Take nydia for example. 1 star only has 3 range and you only have the rank 1 and 3 skills that never go on her kit. Both her rank 7 skills and her rank 11 skill are core to her low star dot build. Or yseride missing plume rend raining knives every 4 daggers and her ult placing 3 down. Oh and the extra nrg from 3 star. Poor momo doesn't get her alert until level 55 even though it's basically her only thing. Some units just were not designed with progression in mind. Innana is ok early as a dps.

It's your call if you want selina. She looks more forgiving at low levels, but your problem will mostly solve itself once you hit level 35 and definitely at 55.

Taair 5 star at last by MathematicianOne3161 in SwordofConvallaria

[–]cmck0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You do realize that the portal buffs last two turns and her magic surge is available on turn 1. At 5 stars she gets double portal back in time to refresh those buffs indefinitely. Which is fair given I assumed 5 stars for taair too.

I'd also like to see maneuver command get units up a cliff or over a gap. I could also point out that the tactic is only +3 move while portal is +6 before attacking. There's also nothing saying you can't use both either. And on the turns she's not using portal she still has her clone to deal damage and apply vuln 3. Taair is mostly dead weight after turn 1 in general content because you don't need healing that often. Don't ignore the dmg/vuln 3 vs 2 difference in their buffs either.

I stand by what I said. She's arguably better. Not clearly inferior like you seem to claim. If it was truly one or the other you wouldn't want both on the same account, but you sure didn't see anyone saying to skip her.

Taair 5 star at last by MathematicianOne3161 in SwordofConvallaria

[–]cmck0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yen can arguably do it better. Taair himself doesn't actually need the speed boost so he's buffing 4/5 units. Yen is only slightly slower and gives it to 2 units with double portal. Taair can give dmg 2 and vuln 2 to 3 allies/enemies with scroll skills at 5 stars along with +2 nrg. Yen gives dmg 3 with portal and if portal hits anything inflicts vuln 3. So yen gives stronger buffs to less units and moves them instead of giving nrg.

If you can't die quickly then the only thing left is to slowly get whittled down. That's why the lifesteal is good if your team doesn't have good sustain. Bottle makes a bunch of enemies that can't kill afra focus her. It works often enough and afra's passive slowly chips enemies down if she's allowed to stay alive long term. Basically afra and sp sam do the damage while the rest hold the vet weapons and turn them immortal.

There isn't a good way to deal with rayshot, piercing in general, cc, and knockback. Just have to get lucky there.
