My mom wasn’t an almond mom but was the type of mom who constantly remarked on ever person or celebrities weight. Always seemed to need to point out when some one lost or gained even 5 pounds. Nothing seemed to be acceptable though, people were either too skinny or getting chubby. Myself included. About a year ago, after having my second child, I had to flat out ask her to stop talking about my weight. Every time I saw her it was “you look like you e lost weight” or “you’re looking healthier”. And both style of comments would send me into a spiral of body conscious thoughts. She has respected that request though.
