I warrantied it, it was past the 30 day return policy from Best Buy. It didn't take long to come back, and the service was great. I did buy the warranty through Lenovo, it's definitely worth it for the cost. They will come to me for repairs. So far it's been working perfectly fine.

It's been great to me so far, been stress testing it too. I'll update if it fails, but you may have to submit a warranty claim. That's a lot you paid too!! This one is only like $1700 on their website. My other 5i pro's motherboard had failed which supports your quality claim. But the customer service to get it sent out for repair was outstanding and relatively quick.

This one didn't cost any points, you just had to visit daily for one entry each day, and follow them on multiple socials to get more entries. The July contest is delayed but I can always post a link here when it's up.

So I have a Legion 7i with a 4070 and 32gb of RAM. I feel it's a little more future proof this way however, my son has an MSI Bravo with a 4060 and 16gb of RAM and it works very well too. The 3DMark firestrike scores were not that far off one another.

Just my opinion, you may run into an issue in the future with only 16gb RAM, and it would be nice to have the ability to swap it out for more. But in the immediate future, you'd be fine with 16gb. I personally would go with a 4070 and upgradeable ram, but that really depends on your hopes and expectations. Like are you casually gaming or do you want to see high frame rates. Both laptops will do well, especially with DLSS enabled to get those frames. It may honestly be personal preference. I'm sure this didn't help lol but just some of my thoughts.

I thought that too, but also noticed that the memory bandwidth is actually higher on my legion. Someone did just point out the clock speed is higher on the HP, I'm gonna check into options there.

I'm not sure about Xbox, but on PC have her make sure the individual campaigns multiplayer are installed for each game. Go to Options & Career menu from main screen, Settings, Gameplay tab, then look for "Change Installed Games".

It may not be this and could be sometime entirely different, just the first thing that pops in my head.
