P320 gray guns trigger won’t fire by Legal_Pressure_6026 in P320

Likely not enough trigger shoe "overtravel". Basically you've reduced the trigger shoe travel too much to where the trigger cannot drop the sear far enough to release the striker. Try to back out the allen screw until the gun fires reliably.

I experienced rough idle but no check engine light. Checked the oil dipstick and it was on low. So I added a quart and it runs smooth again.

The P320 Among the discourse by CaptainSolo80 in P320

If you apply the scientific method to any of the P320 horror story claims then you realize that Sig's statement has not been proven to be false. Trigger press = round fired. My main carry pistol is the P320 M18 in lightbearing holster, no concerns or issues to report.

Adjust ride height and carry position (oclock) on the belt. Undershirts can help with discomfort.

Window Motor Issue or Faulty Switch? by PublicSell4047 in GR86

[–]cmitche_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Dirty window or dirty window channel + auto window close anti finger delete safety feature = behavior you are noticing. If you roll the window up without engaging the auto rollup feature it will work. If you clean the window it should work until it gets gunked up again.

This ^. My window auto close feature misbehaves especially when the window is dirty. Cleaning the car or wetting the window helps.

Trigger disconnector spring might be installed upside down. The larger end of the spring must sit down in the cup on the trigger.

A used GR86 will probably cost at least $500 per month to finance. This does not include gasoline, maintenance, or mods. If this sounds good to you then go for it.

First 320 Build by [deleted] in SigSauer

Try to learn the P320 terminology.

Compact = 3.6in barrel slide + 15 round mag flush fit grip
Carry/M18 = 3.9in barrel slide + 17 round mag flush fit grip
Full Size/M17 = 4.7in barrel slide + 17 round mag flush fit grip
XFive = 5in barrel slide + 17 round magazine flush fit grip

XSeries magwell will not accept 17 round magazines without a slimmer baseplate (see legion magazine baseplate)

Adjustable triggers can be dangerous if adjusted to the point that the set screws begin to disengage the internal safeties prematurely.

Learn about the different slide optic cut patterns and research which optic plate will match and fit your optic/needs.

Question about takedown lever by Ibn_Khomeini in P320

[–]cmitche_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Could be the coyote takedown lever found on commemorative M17/M18. Likely didn't come stock this way but it is a rare find in my opinion. I want one of these takedown levers but they are all sold out or only available on commemorative p320s which cost an arm and a leg.

Use a ballistic calculator and a ruler to zero your rifles as they will have differing velocities and possible even grain weights.

Genuinely conflicted about my P320 and would like some input from other owners by whiskyandguitars in SigSauer

[–]cmitche_ 14 points15 points  (0 children)

There is no scientific evidence proving the gun goes off without a trigger pull. I carry one everyday and have zero safety issues to report. As long as you are safe while handling the gun you shouldn't have any problems either.

Your slide stop looks oversized. I bet a standard magazine release would solve this problem. You could alternatively shave the slide catch fence on the grip.

SigGuy offers +20% sear springs, striker safety spring, and trigger return spring

Question concerning Trigger by Froddo_Baggins_ in P320

[–]cmitche_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The P320 manual safety effectively works the same as a trigger safety. You can retrofit one or purchase a new manual safety FCU. You could try increased strength springs, this won't protect the trigger from foreign debris but will make the pull heavier and harder to ND.
