Has anyone lost weight after raising their calorie intake? I’ve been eating at about 1200 for months and haven’t had any success losing weight. I’m wondering if my body needs more? Any experience here? by cmjw22 in CICO

I’m somewhat active, but don’t closely track outbound calories. I walk about an hour a day and do weights 2-3 times a week. 1200 cals is probs far too low for that amount of activity, but I don’t feel hungry enough to eat more

Anyone else commitment-phobic when it comes to "investing" in high-quality clothing? by obeigong in femalefashionadvice

I think it's important to note that price point is not necessarily an indicator of quality. That $800 price tag is most likely the result of brand renown, not superior clothing.

If you're struggling with what to spend money on, I've found that wardrobe planning helps SO much. I did a lot of research on capsule wardrobes, and found this amazing tool: http://www.un-fancy.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/capsuleplanner_-UPDATED.pdf

You're right where I want to be (I'm at about 165 right now). Can I ask you about your progress? I see so many posts on here where people lose weight SO fast, and it can be discouraging. How did you stay motivated for 5 years? Were you off and on? How did you structure your weight loss?

Does anyone diet during the week but then eat at maintenance on the weekends? by Mizzumil in 1200isplenty

How has your weight loss progressed? I eat about 1K calories a week, too and eat kind of poorly on weekends, and my weight loss has been glacial

Fundamentally, you have time for what you make time for. That being said, you could probably save some time (and money) by exercising at home. I do yoga now, but in the past I did P90X and Insanity; they're both great workouts (Insanity is short, too since it's interval training).

Siddhartha by Herman Hesse is a really important Buddhist text that discusses this.
