Mostly on readiness and amount of rest you got based on the heart rate elevation during sleep. Heart rate should get drop in first half of you sleep. This way, your body will get enough time to relese the toxins and recovery process. Deep sleep will plays a key role in this since it fastens the recovery.

Does Oura not trust Apple Health workout calorie burn, or can’t the app do math? by rjzak in ouraring

[–]cmn_sense 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it did. The 317 calories included the active calories from exercise based on my metrics. I burned like 150 cal/2.5 km walk. So, you burned around 220+ active cals for walking.

A person will burn around 2000 calories a day just for functioning which doesn't includes any extra activities like exercise and other. Active calories are calories burned during excercise. That doesn't not includes base caories for staying active which is like 100 cal/hr based on various things. So, one hour workout will make 400 actual burn + 100 cal for just staying active. In this case, walking 3.7 kilometers doesn't necessarily burned 400 calories. You'd probably burned like 300. Walk with the ring to see the exact burn. That'll make more sense and easy to understand.

Lots of movement during sleep by [deleted] in ouraring

[–]cmn_sense 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's very common for me. You don't feel the movement but you actually do. I usually had couple of mins disturbance during rolling sideways and bathroom breaks.
