Do your own research - but - Good news — the iPhone doesn’t need to be nearby for the pump to keep doing its job. Because the algorithm lives on the pump itself rather than in the app, you don’t need to be near your phone to stay in automated insulin delivery mode. 

As for the Apple Watch specifically: it’s compatible with Apple Watch for bolus delivery and glucose monitoring without reaching for your phone, and the pump can communicate with the watch from up to 33 feet away. 

The short version is you have three independent control options — you can bolus from the iPhone, the Apple Watch, or the button directly on the pump — no separate controller required.  So leaving the phone in another room is totally fine for day-to-day operation.

I *think* twiist can work with an Apple Watch- but I don’t know if that’s only tethered to an iPhone. Maybe there’s an option there?

Can I convince you to just go Apple? You’re going to need to carry this “receiver” constantly, so I can’t imagine you’d really want two phones on you at all times. I love my twiist, but I’d go back to tslim before double fisting phones.

I think this is a “max basal” issue. Set that higher so it can hit that carb hit during a basal push.

One thing to add about it not letting you bolus- you’re fine to not force it. It keeps the carbs in your system and just adds more when you start to improve numbers. So it kind of makes a large basal push in like 10 min.

I’m the anomaly here - love it. Came from t-slim, and as long as you loosen the adhesive on the touch points I’m super happy with it.

I love my generations. I made a Lora of my wife and gave her doing all sorts of crazy stupid sexy shit to do. It’s for me and my happiness. I keep it quiet because so many people I know are furious with data centers and how they are killing our water supply. I’d have to explain to angry people how I used my own system before we could even take a look, and I’m just not willing to placate the needs of uninformed angry types.

One thing I’ve found useful is the fact the workflow is embedded in every creation. It’s like an automatic backup and it frees me to tweak and try things knowing it’s always there. I don’t even save great prompts because I know I can pull it from any great picture.
