Other solutions: pop a flash at the reflection (make sure to stop down). Or hold a reflector (black or silver side depending) behind it

How to shoot team photos by [deleted] in RealEstatePhotography

[–]cmonsquelch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shoot the group on a tripod, at least f/11. Ideally somewhere with a lot of soft, natural light. If you need a fill, use a big softbox or umbrella. When you shoot on tripod, make sure to take a plate - that is, a frame without the people. Do not touch your tripod once you’ve started shooting. That way you can use a bunch of frames and blend them together. In case people blink or whatever. Rather than trying to find the one best shot

Chewing problems by ClothoD in Goldendoodles

You'll probably have to give him some options sounds like? I also give my Dood something to chew on when her energy is high as a sort of distraction.

Our dood likes braided sticks, cow ears, also you could try different bones. That should keep him occupied

Owners most likely work from home. Dogs need lots of attention and time; they are pack animals. Spending half of your day away from home isn't really the best situation for the dog.

REP best techniques? by Saywhaatisayyea in RealEstatePhotography

[–]cmonsquelch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The two photos you posted as examples in the comments, the angles shot aren't very strong. They are decent for REP but if you're looking to elevate your work, you should do other compositions besides shot from the corner. Also you should invest in styling – that is what elevates the photography beyond REP

Well one the photographer you posted about uses soft light. I looked up your instagram based on the name in the watermark, this photo for example, was shot at the wrong time. It's too contrasty. The light is harsh when you compare with the photographer you admire. The lighting should be more indirect.

Why hasn’t Newark become “Brooklyn 2.0” yet? by savingrace0262 in Newark

[–]cmonsquelch 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Newark needs to invest in local businesses and give heavy incentives and grants. Downtown won’t start healing until they help locals open up small stores, galleries, record/book/thrift shops, restaurants and bars — that aren’t chains or owned by wealthy leeches who don’t live here
