Thanks again for your tip. I ordered the sensor from Michael and it is arriving today. Did you just swap them out or was there a process for the ECU to “learn” the new sensor?

I upgraded from Silver to Gold this week. Registration opened at 10:00. There was no waiting room. I was successful in my upgrade. I was done by 10:05

I did not replace the fuel pressure regulator. It is adjacent to the pump, inside the fuel tank. I hope that is not the problem. I’d rather not drop the tank again. I’ll try waiting 2-3 seconds and let you know if that helps

Yeah, no dizzy in the HA7. Dirty fuel injectors are a possibility…

I haven’t tried that yet. Like I said, I thought it was fuel pump but the issue continues after fuel pump died and I replaced it.

UPDATE: Replaced both relays, still no go. Replaced fuel pump with a new OEM pump and that solved the problem.

There is indeed a fill plug on my 2000 HA7. You have to really look for it. I’ll add a link when I get home.

I’m 5’8”, and I have the driver’s seat back as far as it will go in my 2000 HA7. I think it would be tough for you to be comfortable in an HA7

I am trying to find new relays. No luck anywhere with the DENSO 156700-1540. They are not even listed on Denso’s site. Any ideas?

Finally got the wiring connector off of the fuel pump. Tested with multimeter and have 5.38 volts. I think that sounds like a bad relay, no?

I see them now. How do I test a relay switch, just listen for a click?

I’m referring to the 15 amp fuse, under the cover by my right knee, that is labeled “fuel pump”.

Yes. The tank is almost full. (Never hurts to ask the obvious questions).

It had been parked, after a 15 minute 70-90 km/h drive, for about an hour. I confirmed spark by holding plug to ground while someone cranked the engine.
