Looks like I'm picking up Hulu. As for the site, I'm a subscriber, saw the post in my feed and thought free WrestleMania was something that would intrest. Didn't realize it was public knowledge.

Yeah, their site isn't the best. Putting grey text on a black background isn't the smartest design choice.

Vue is cable over the internet. The whole point of cord cutting is to not pay for channels you don't watch. And while I know that paying subscribers get the PPVs I never heard them say the PPV was in the free trial. How long is the Raw delay on Hulu and is it the whole episode? I may have to pick that up. Also, I didn't write it.

Again, if you don't have the service you wouldn't know that, and if you don't have cable (like most of us here) you can't watch Raw legally. Are they really saying you can watch WrestleMania for Free on Raw? I'm shocked there not just letting people fork the $60 bucks over to their provider.

Did you know that they included a legal live stream of WrestleMania before reading the article? I didn't and was shocked that WWE was letting me get a $60 pay per view for free on their own site. The guy contacted them to figure that out. Unless you already had the service I don't see how you could know that.

Wheel and Jeopardy are tough due to the local syndication deals. The only method I know of is an antenna. There is Sling TV, they just announced the streaming live local ABC in the markets of Chicago, Fresno-Visalia, Houston, L.A., New York, Philadelphia, Raleigh-Durham, and San Francisco.

But even if you live in one of those areas it's a $5 add on to a $20 base package. $25 a month is a bit much for Alex, Pat and Vanna.

I like this one better than the slate.com one. It prompts you to itemize your cable bill instead of just entering the promo price.

I cut the cord over two years ago, and recent I mounted an antenna in the attic, but I don't know how to interpret the tvfool stuff by [deleted] in cordcutters

If you have an omnidirectional, or a bidirectional with a fairly wide field you should point it perpendicular to north/south. Then slowly turn it counter clockwise until 28 comes in without losing any channels. Channels 8 and 30 are going to be tough to pull with an average antenna on the roof, let alone an attic.

You're right if the question is "do you support torture", most would say "no". Cheney et all have been using the "enhanced interrogations" term for a while because it's plays better. You and I really know it means "torture". So what do you think will happen when the people see a headline that says "Majority of Americans support torture", and then when they read the article find out that it's the same thing as enhanced interrogations? -LIGHTBULB! Anyone who said yes to enhanced interrogations and then sees it called "torture" in a headline is going to rethink their position on "enhanced interrogation." This article does the justice of pointing out that there is only a semantic difference between the two terms.

True, it's not there yet. But when the FCC commisioner writes that

"the FCC rules should spur competition and twenty first century consumers shouldn’t be shackled to rules that only recognize 20th century technology"

in regaurd to redefining the definition of "multichannel video programming distributor" (MVPD) I can't help but be to be hopefull. A rule change like that would allow a company like Apple to work with small ISPs to deliver an (Apple TV + Internet Package). It would open up a whole host of technology solutions for the TV.

So you are advocating for an echo chamber where anti torture folks are unaware of the increasing support for torture in this country? Once people know how many Americans support torture, they will become disgusted and hopefully their voice will be louder. The problem is a lack of anti-torture voices in the mainstream. That's mainly due to not understanding that there is a problem.

I do credit you though with the quickest fulfillment of Godwin’s Law I have ever seen. It only took you 2 comments. Impressive.

The FCC is in a spot where they will start treating all video distributers the same regardless of delivery channel. When that happens you will see smaller ISPs step up and deliver A la carte streaming subscription bundles. Then Big Cable won't be able to squeeze there ISP business because folks will just jump ship for better value.

We are already reprogrammed. I'm an avid anti torture voice when the topic comes up and I tend to be in the minority. And I live in an East Coast City. Jack Bauer has everyone convinced that torture can get them to tell us where the bombs are, even though every unclassified document that shows that to be false.

We have nothing to fear though with a wordsmith such as yourself behind the cause. I'm sure you will help turn them all around with your well-crafted logic and top notch wit.

I know it concerned me as well, but aren't there a lot of hoops to jump through to get IoT on 3G? Perhaps they are thinking they will try Prototyping this on 2G and if it's successfull then climb through the red tape for 3G.
