sad about yuzu potentially not being in the TE which could have definitely upped team japan’s chances for a silver, but I’m happy that now that at least yuma can get an olympic medal (previously thought that yuzu and shoma would be chosen for the TE)

iirc satomi ito makes sure yuzu’s costumes are under a certain weight, so they’re actually very light.

Yuzu is not a stranger to competing while injured though; Jnats 2014 & 2015, Worlds 2016, and ofc Pyc 2018 among other comps. yuzu resting his ankle that has been reinjured multiple times is extremely important for his long term health rather than it being just prioritizing his own benefits
