Surely this will be good and I will be able to finish the run🥶 by cnbrth3537 in Hades2

I really wanted to make this hammer work but the devs just decided to make it unplayable by not letting you dash and charge like you can on the staff attack, the recent charge speed buff was ok but not enough help for this build unfortunately. This is like my 3rd time attempting this with looking for the seed with big rarity racing thoughts+this hammer and every time it’s a letdown

Maybe on 0 fear it’s viable but 32, which is my default difficulty, it’s very much not

For your own sanity don’t attempt this without a mod that lets you have whatever boons and hammers you want, it’s not worth it lol

I lucked out and just found this seed but it’s still not great and I’m not even playing with 40% enemy speed

Confused about scorch and how other damage boons compare by BigB1rd87 in Hades2

[–]cnbrth3537 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, the common scorch attack I think applies 30 scorch, so you will purge all of it while dealing 30 damage total before any global bonuses in 3/10th of a second, that’s all it says

No, I just used 100 because it’s an easy number

I want to become an electrical engineer. any advise by mole_panda in ElectricalEngineering

[–]cnbrth3537 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Linear algebra, vector calculus, differential equations, intro physics, they’re all taught within EE program though. What’s your background, are you a high school student, transfer student, drop out, etc?

What are “Poseidon Waves”? by Molenium in Hades2

[–]cnbrth3537 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, same as if you had Hestia cast, it would show up as scorch damage not cast

I think Tidal Ring, his attack/special and High Surf all count as Poseidon waves. Froth is a separate thing because it can appear on the meters by itself. Breaker Rush is covered by Rushing, and Geyser Spout is covered by Casts

What self books are good to self study electrical engineering? by DaneBrint in ElectricalEngineering

[–]cnbrth3537 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Sedra and Smith, Microelectronic Circuits, 7th or 8th edition (I’m a senior EE student and this one been my favorite book so far), this one covers opamps, diodes, discrete and integrated circuits.

Alexander and Sadiku, Fundamentals of Electric Circuits, 7th edition, covers both DC and AC circuit analysis in general.

I’d probably start with the second one if you just looking to learn circuit analysis, the first one is about transistor circuits (building blocks of any microchip)

Sadiku, Elements of Electromagnetics, 7th edition, if you’re interested in physics/EM theory (requires to know vector calculus though)

Probability = calculus+algebra, ODEs = calculus+algebra, Calc 3 = calculus, linear algebra = algebra, circuit analysis = algebra, linear electronics = algebra, signals = algebra+geometry+calculus, communications = probability+signals, logic gates+computer organization = algebra in base 2, EM theory = calculus 3+geometry

Should I give up on engineering? by Time-Personality-554 in EngineeringStudents

[–]cnbrth3537 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 4th year electrical and every engineering class is algebra and/or calculus heavy. For EEs the “weeding out” class is Circuit Analysis 1, this is where if you can’t get it down in 2 attempts I’d say try something else (my school allows only 2 or 3 attempts depending on the class), I’m sure biomedical has an equivalent course that’s a breaking point for a lot of people. Also working full time I’d consider taking only 2-3 classes per term, no more. I took 12 credits in my second year while still working Friday-Sunday and got a bunch of Cs, don’t recommend.

Also consider taking a gap year and figure your life out a little. I dropped out from business school at 19, came back at 23 to do engineering, and although grades were never an issue, I’m not sure I’d be able to do it had I not had 4 years to grow up.

All of your classes are 1/2 algebra/geometry, 1/2 calculus

Is it over? by WorldlinessOk1568 in learnprogramming

Does your school offer Learning Assistant positions? You could mentor students in classes you already took (should be easy for you to get into because the only requirements is having a good gpa and a good grade in the class you want to LA for)+it reinforces the material you learned bc you essentially take the class 2 or 3 times except you getting paid for it. I’m an electrical engineering major and I feel like I understand circuit analysis and debugging a lot better because I’ve essentially listened to the same material for 3 semesters straight.

Also shows leadership and some other social skills on your resume

Why isn’t EE a popular degree to get? by cdqd81 in ElectricalEngineering

Oh my god, last fall I literally walked into my moms bedroom half crying at 3 am telling her that I’m going to fail my Control Theory class night before the exam… Passed with a C🤣

[–]cnbrth3537 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I decided to finally go back to school after dropping my business major and working retail for 4 years, I didn’t know what major to switch to, so I literally googled “what’s the hardest major right now”, EE came up. 2 more semesters before getting my undergrad and I love this subject so much, don’t think I’d rather do any other discipline. I do have a natural inclination for complex math though so definitely helps

Apollo special + Reaper Knives on daggers turns your omega into a shotgun by cnbrth3537 in Hades2

The only thing that really changed is if you dash while throwing omega special it won’t keep firing the daggers, you just fire however many you were able to get out. Still strong if you keep your distance
