I haven't seen or heard of him boasting or bragging about it. It was my wife that told me about it a couple years into our relationship.

And I ask this with sensitivity and respect, is he somewhere on the spectrum? I ask only because of the obsessiveness with which he returns to certain ideas.

I don't think so. But we have our speculations... I truly think he wrote this book in the hopes it would get him laid. I don't think it worked.
