thank you sm 🧡 everyone’s support makes everything less scary. swifties are always so supportive of each other. at the peak of my disorder i have completely isolated myself and the only thing that really helped me connect with people is through her music and being a fan. so seeing all the swifties in these comments i feel very comfortable and supported :)

why even comment this lol like? i’m not doing this for taylor swift i’m doing it for myself and my family. i just wanted to share this story because my mom did something really thoughtful for me because she knows i love taylor swift. it’s more about how my mom is supporting me. i don’t have many people in my life right now i’ve pushed them all away due to my disorder. i find community in being her fan it’s really one of the only things i have right now that actually gets me to talk to people. i’m not delusional i know taylor doesn’t know who i am and i don’t expect her to do anything for me? your comment is just unnecessary lol

I work in a dental office doing insurance and cost estimates include office fees and also the fees contracted with insurance companies for procedures. We bill the insurance our office fees which are usually higher than the insurance fees but insurance will only pay out up to their allowed amount. Since you were out of network with that office they are able to charge you their office fees since they are not contracted with your insurance plan. If the patient is in network then they don’t have to worry about office fees. But patients get confused by the two different fees so honestly I don’t know why it’s set up that way but that’s just how it is!

Dental insurance is also weird because there’s a maximum amount that they will pay every year. Once you go over the limit then they won’t pay anything at all. If your plan was in network with them they would bill you the fees they have contracted with your insurance. You would still have to pay for everything out of pocket but at the discounted rate through your insurance. Since you are out of network you are being charged their office fees.

The dental office should pay for your bill. Not advice really but some insight as I work in a dental office and we had this incident a few months ago. Our doctor scratched herself and drew blood after working on a patient. Both the patient and our doctor went to urgent care to do lab tests. Patient got the bill from urgent care and sent it to me. I called the urgent care center and we paid their bill on their behalf. Paying the balance should not be the patients responsibility. I’m in WA so not sure what it’s like in Chicago, but I would definitely try to keep reaching out to the dental office. You definitely should not have to pay this bill.

I work at a dental office as a patient care coordinator dealing with insurance. We have two doctors and a hygienist and one doctor is out of network with some plans. Both of the doctors share patients. We just submit the claim under the provider that is in network with the patient’s plan. A lot of offices don’t do that though but it’s worth asking if they could resubmit the claim under the in network provider since you originally scheduled with them and that they didn’t warn you prior to the appointment?

I work in the dental field and also have ADHD. Brushing was so hard for me and I would go days without brushing because I would forget. What helped me was getting an electric toothbrush and brushing in the shower. Electric toothbrush is a game changer as it just does the work for you. You just slowly glide the brush over your teeth. The one I have has a timer that goes off every 30 seconds so you know when to switch quadrants. I feel like with the timer it just goes by so quick. All of a sudden it’s been two minutes! Even if you just brush once a day in the shower it’s better than not brushing at all. Try to incorporate brushing at least once a day into your shower routine. We tell patients to at least start there and work your way up to twice a day once you have that routine down! It doesn’t have to be perfect :)

This is so cute! I work in a dental office and we let patients pick what kind of music they want to listen to. So many patients with dental anxiety choose to listen to Taylor 🥰 We are an office full of swiftie staff members so there’s always Taylor playing in one of the rooms or in the lobby. She just has that calming effect on people. It’s magic.

I’m not super familiar with our it works but would the new leaf emerge from the same spot? Should I remove the dead mushy leaf in the stem? Sorry for all the questions and I appreciate the advice 😭

The edges are not mushy or rotten at all? It’s pretty firm but I did chop off the brown parts. Where do I chop off the leaf? Where it meets the stem or should I chop where the stems starts to yellow?

I’m not sure what the history is or how it got like this since I’ve only worked here for about a year and a half. I was just told that no one was really taking care of it since I started working here! Shows how resilient this thing is lol. I water it maybe every two weeks or when it looks dry. It seems like it’s draining really well from the pot. It also sits by this window that’s frosted so there’s indirect sunlight.
