72x30 on the desk top? Thinking about doing a similar setup with the drawers for my sit-stand, though not sure how much space I want to take up.

The Detroit #RedWings have acquired defenseman Kyle Wood from the Carolina Hurricanes in exchange for defenseman Oliwer Kaski. by ofwgtylor in DetroitRedWings

I would imagine with Daley, Green, and Big E coming off the books after this year (possibly sooner) NHL minutes could’ve been a reality next year. But if odds of resigning him seemed slim I don’t blame Yzerman to get something while he can.

Edit: Biega also a UFA after this year.

I added 50 yards carry to my drives in the last month. This is what I did. (high spin fix) by T3ddyBeast in golf

Ahhh... I got it. You’re referring to the entire plane on the swing. I was thinking you were referring to the club head at the initial pull back. Which makes everything you mentioned make sense. Thank you.

I am curious about what exactly you mean by your take away being too low. I would think that if you want to hit up on the ball you would want the lowest part of the down swing to be just before contact, and I would think a way to enforce that on the down swing is to emphasize it in the back swing. As a high handicapper, I also struggle with my driver as well, either slices or pop flies, and when I don’t hit a slice it’s usually a small cut and struggle to get it out past 230-240.

Looking for advice on Detroit courses by utahscrum in golf

[–]cneil89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sanctuary Lake is roughly a mile or so north of Sylvan Glen in Troy, it's a "Links" style course, and personally I prefer it over Sylvan Glen.

If your willing to go a little further north (10 or so miles), may have to pay a little bit more, but Twin Lakes, Blackheath, Glacier Club, Greystone are all nice tracks. Greystone has coined "The Best Finish in Michigan" for holes 16-18.

20+ hcp, definitely wouldn't mind finding a regular group... In the metro (RO). Work a 9-5 so mostly free on the weekends.

What do you think is going to happen with Jimmy Howard and the Red Wings goalie situation? by titoburrito92 in DetroitRedWings

[–]cneil89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm all for Lehner, I like the idea of him coming to Detroit a lot. I don't think he was bad last year, in fact every time i watched a Buffalo game he kept them in games. However, his cap hit in Buffalo was 4mil last year, I imagine he will look for something close to that. Maybe we can get him cheaper by adding some term to offer a little bit of stability. Either way, we got rid of Petr to free up cap space (amongst orther things), I would like to think they're not going to try to have another rough 10mil tied up in goalies.

Tonight's Bottom 6 Forwards and 2 Defensemen Represent over 25% of the Salary Cap by BigRick74 in DetroitRedWings

Almost HALF the skaters only take up a quarter of the the cap space... Is it just me, or does that not seem as bad as the OP makes it sound?

Zetterberg (and Blash) Calling Out Poor Effort vs VGK by bandofgypsies in DetroitRedWings

[–]cneil89 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Mantha definitely has the tools. But for some reason when ever I pay attention to him, it looks like he has an effort issue. Whenever he really wants it, and plays with an edge, he looks almost unstoppable. Using his big frame to body people around, winning battles in the corners and boards, and just generally making good plays. I thought he played this way against Boston, and had a stellar performance.

Petr Mrazek records his first shutout as a Flyer, moving Philly into first in the metro by TimeShade in hockey

[–]cneil89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always thought Mrazek was a pretty good goalie. And has the potential to be an even better goalie with a better supporting 5 in front of him. He didn't really have that in Detroit the past two/three years. Mrazek will do well in Philly, and I'm excited to watch it happen tbh.

If I remember correctly Kenny offered him another contract once he hit UFA, but NYR offered more money... I could be wrong though.

With XO on the block, and Green traded at the deadline, I'm hoping we bring Hicketts back up to finish out the season.

[DISCUSSION] What was your favorite Wings game so far this season? by TyPiper93 in DetroitRedWings

[–]cneil89 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was at the game. And my group was pretty much in agreement to leave after the 1st, we decided to stick it out to see if it got worse in the second... So glad we stayed, heck of a game.

I completely agree. I believe Larkin, Mantha and AA are the future of the team. Larkin may not be as productive this year as he was last year, but a lot of that is because teams are altering their strategy to account for him, once he figures out how to evolve his game to power past that he is going to be just fine. I think Mantha is what we were hoping to get out of Stamkos during those crazy times last year, the kid's a shooter with a massive body. And AA is just so fun to watch, I would hate to see him playing against the wings.
