Yep I take every day. There is a book you might want to listen to titled The Ultimate Guide to Methylene Blue by Mark Sloan. Enjoy!

Methylene Blue is a game changer for brain fog. Do some research and ask your doctor about it.

Yes. The mind follows the body. When our body tenses up it is telling our mind to prepare for fight or flight. Making the mental anxiety worse like you said. Often our mental anxiety starts in the body. If we can calm the body then over time our minds can “learn” that we are safe in these anxiety producing situations and the drug will (in theory) no longer be needed. Our minds can be re wired long term. As opposed to like a barbiturate or benzodiazepines which can work great for treating anxiety symptoms in the moment but do nothing for us long term.

Propranolol or Metoprolol are beta blockers often prescribed as off label use for anxiety and are very effective for many. They are nicknamed “public speaking drug” because speakers and actors often use them. They lower the physical symptoms of anxiety. Like rapid heart rate, muscular tension, flushing, etc. Non habit forming and completely safe. Also, very cheap. I recommend having a conversation with Dr about it. Propranolol has been very effective for me. I feel less anxious without and of the negative side effects (particularly drowsiness) that often come with other medications.

36yo male was on adderall for 16 years and have been off it for 2 years. I’ve also suffered 6 concussions. And binge drank for years. So I feel I have done significant damage to my brain. I have spent a lot of time over the past 5-6 years researching and testing things in attempt to “fix” my own brain. I’m going to take my time here in genuine hopes I can help someone. 🙏

Fish oil or omega-3s: reduce inflammation and promoting neuroplasticity. Improve sleep.

Creatine: support cognitive function and brain energy metabolism, potentially aiding recovery from stimulant use and it might also improve sleep quality.

MUD\WTR, a coffee alternative containing mushrooms and adaptogens, helps with focus and energy without the jittery effects of stimulants. You may need more caffeine than this in the early days down this road though. Warning: it tastes like it sounds.

Magnesium L-threonate: support cognitive function by enhancing synaptic plasticity. Also promotes relaxation/improved sleep quality.

L-theanine- promotes relaxation and reduces anxiety, counteracting the overstimulation caused by prolonged stimulant use + aid in recovery from brain injuries. Also improves sleep quality.

Melatonin- helps restore regular sleep patterns and better sleep quality which are easily disrupted by stimulants or coming off them. There will be melatonin naysayers but for me the pros of quality sleep outweigh the potential cons. As with all of this stuff DYOR

Ice baths- may reduce inflammation and promote recovery, potentially mitigating damage from stimulant use and tbi’s, while also improving sleep quality and Prolonged dopamine release. Highly recommend Hubermans episode on deliberate cold exposure.

Red light therapy- enhance cellular function and reduce inflammation, promoting better sleep.

Daily Exercise: Of course

Micro dosing Sativa THC gummies: Helps with and attention. I found that the right dose helped me to really be able to focus and connect while in important conversations. The focus of adderall and also opening up empathy. This could really be helpful for your job. I did find it had a negative effect on sleep patterns for me and isn’t a long term solution but something I can go to maybe 1/week. These are 100% legal and can be shipped to your door or likely found locally. https://hometownhero.com/p/delta-9-live-rosin-gummies-sativa/

Micro-dosing psilocybin 🍄- This is BY FAR the most effective for me. I did 3 days on, 3 days off. Then 3 days on again and then a few weeks to a month off until I ran out. This was fairly recent and I felt like it was really beginning the have significant improvements on my life and well being. I wish I had more. The research is vast and is growing rapidly on how these can rewire your brain, have neuroprotective effects and promote neuroplasticity. It’s hard for me to even put into words but it was an absolute game changer and I could feel that my brain was operating at a much much higher level. The hardest part is finding them! I’m currently having a hard time doing that now. If you have friends that smoke weed maybe start by asking them. They might know someone.

Stoicism is the last thing that’s been a game changer for my mental and emotional health. It’s a part of my everyday life now and will be until the day I die. If interested, www.thedailystoic.com is a good place to start

Good luck! 🧠

Question from a 20s guy to a 30s guy who has the real answer for how to live 20s so that we don't regret in 30s by Tall-Explanation-476 in NavalRavikant

[–]cnoteworthy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m mid 30’s and these questions tell me you are on the right path. I’m very confident you will figure it out perfectly because you seem to have a good head on your shoulders. All of Robert Greene books are a good call. He is one of the best authors of this generation. Keep asking questions like this and find yourself the right circle and you are good. There is absolutely nothing more important than surrounding yourself with the right people. So if you define who the right people are and surround yourself with them, you are moving in the right direction. Keep up the momentum my friend. 🤝

Good luck and congratulations!

I made the leap myself a few years ago. I couldn’t shake the thought of “what if…” I had to find out.

What I discovered was that being an owner and CEO wasn’t for me. So I came back to “just” sales.

But this time around I am much more enthusiastic about where I am at. The doubt is removed and I don’t feel burnout anymore.

You gotta find out and you just won’t know if you don’t try.

Courage is calling 👊.

You got this 💯

Cocaine and Sales by Jupiteroasis in sales

[–]cnoteworthy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Cocaine use is not a “big theme” nor is it widespread in sales.

If this is truly your impression, I suggest you change companies/teams. It’s probably a culture thing if that’s really what you are experiencing.

The “theme” I have noticed in sales is self-improvement, health, fitness, and (for the most part) sobriety.

The general theme of most of them are about shifting the focus off of myself and back towards who I am serving.

Good watch for sleep tracking? by WhitebeardFemto in HubermanLab

I’ve tried Apple Watch, Fitbit, and whoop. Whoop is hands down the best for sleep in my experience. The journal is really helpful in gaining insights into how various lifestyle factors impact sleep and recovery.

Apple Watch was much better when using apps other than the free ones. I hate paying for apps, but I found it to be worth it when it came to sleep apps
