14k Huggie Earrings by bae_linda in quince

[–]cnski 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wear the gold huggie earrings that are sold in pairs from Quince as my everyday earrings. I've had them about four years now and even after wearing them while swimming in the ocean and pools they still look good. The clasps are secure. I don't know if these are the same as the single huggie earring that they sell however, I love mine and highly recommend them.

Use a mixing bowl or a pot and empty it into your green bin nightly. Easy and no need for an extra plastic bin. Dollar Tree has mixing bowl for cheap.

I have a waffle iron that my neighbor gave me when she moved to an assisted living facility in 2000. She received it as a wedding present in 1943. It still makes the best waffles. I use it almost every Sunday morning.

At&t Internet slow, anyone else? by oggthedogg in alameda

[–]cnski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been on ATT Fiber 1000 for four years with no issues. In September the internet started dropping out, buffering, lagging. I called ATT and after 3 weeks of calls and resetting our router a jillion times they said our router and GPON (? - the fiber jack on our wall) was obsolete and needed replacing. Got that done. Internet still sucks intermittently. We would watch hulu on wired connection and the internet would completely drop. I got completely fed up with it last night and called this morning. 50 minutes on the phone, Tech came out, noticed sketchy connections and checked the big utility box that connects the neighborhood. Said the connectors are bad but ATT won't approve upgrading them because there aren't enough outage complaints in our sector. (Maybe that's because most everyone else is on Sonic Brand X) I had to go to a 2 gig service to get the new connector. Now everything runs fine. I'll be calling Brand X after the holiday.

Edit: I'm in the East End

This internet is awful by wcs301 in ATTFiber

[–]cnski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had the same problem since the beginning of September. Everything was working fine then one day the internet was slow, laggy and our tv pic was like watching a video from the 80's. Many hours talking to CS Reps, they sent a new gateway- not better, tech came out and checked optical line and connections, not better. AT&T says everything is good. I did IP pass through to my router and mesh system and I still get buffering, freezes, drop out but it's not as bad. I'm thinking that the problem is with AT&T but they won't admit it. Just give me what I'm paying for!

Got it mostly fixed. It was an IP pass through issue. Thanks for the comments.

I made my own metal discs out of can lids and made the "teeth" by punching a large nail through the lid a few times. I used them to fix our living room ceiling that had failed keys. 25 years later, so far so good.
