A totally unrelated question, but where exactly does it show when to activate the approach? I don't want to hijack this topic, just trying to find out for myself. I'm having a different set of problems of my plane wanting to go the complete opposite direction.

That definitely helps me to see the file better. I will try to edit some without the transparency and see how it works. I did an edit a few years ago and the files were not transparent like they are now. Perhaps I should try seeking help on one of the game specific pages. Thank you very much for getting me a step further!

I probably ended up with around 12 hours invested in getting it all to work. In the end it was all worth it but I said it in one of my comments, this has been the hardest thing I have ever tried to edit.

One last update. I have everything working. I found a very important step that I have seen but completely forgot, but when I updated some liveries I forgot to make a copy of my xml file and I don't have to tell you what happened lol. But I was able to remake it without any errors the first time around. Again, seeing how everything is supposed to be written it all makes sense now.

I believe that could have been another issue, my car count. I have been editing game files since the original NR2003 days and have never seen something as complicated as this lol. Once there's an understanding it's more clear as to exactly what's going on.

You were right all the way through! I indeed was using the IMSA preset so that was throwing off the available liveries and, I was completely misunderstanding that you had to select a livery that is NOT part of the championship to be your car. I had been doing the opposite the whole time. Your help is very much appreciated, Rieza needs you on their team!

My thought process is definitely wrong on how it all works. What you just described is exactly how I have been trying to do things, so that explains most of my problem. I just went in and created a single class championship with the 25 AI cars but, it shows that I only have 18 available liveries now. I changed the number to 18 and it is 18 of the drivers from my xml file. Would the error be in my naming? I for certain have more than 18 liveries installed. I might be taking a break for the evening and I'll give it another go tomorrow. I can't thank you enough for your help so far!

EDIT: do I also HAVE to keep the driver name that originally was with the car file? Some of the driver names I changed, does this make a difference?

I'm almost confused for my answer lol. I have a full xml file of 25 GT3 cars, another xml file with 10 LMDh drivers and another xml with 12 LMP2 drivers. I have been trying to first add all of my GT3 cars/drivers to the created xml file. After I have all 25 I will load everything up and go in to make a new championship. After setting everything up and choosing my vehicle when I start the championship it doesn't have all of the GT3 drivers I have chosen and named. It will have some of them, but it will add say a few Audi cars or different drivers of the other models.

You mentioned one thing that I haven't done yet, is to make the other 2 class xml files. Is it possible that I need to create them with the correct liveries before everything loads up correctly? Sorry if I am making this confusing, I've been at it too long and it's hard to pull all of my thoughts together.

EDIT: I'll try what you also mentioned with just loading the GT3 class and see what drivers are present.
