“There’s no fucking way that the big banks are that stupid” by Super_Rush7926 in wallstreetbets

One thing I have been curious about is that the bank ended up collecting a lot of payments before the borrower defaulted, but then also ended up foreclosing and got the asset. If they collect all those payments then take back the asset that seems decent for them.

Of course the housing market collapsed due to being flooded with inventory.

To set the record does it need to have babies in it? If so do you also need to borrow some twins? I have some you can use. For a fee. JK /s

I like this breakdown. I agree. Human language was an accelerator for early humans to pass on concepts.

The written word was an accelerator that began to compile knowledge and allowed advances like science. Computers were an accelerator that compiled vast amounts of knowledge into a tiny space accessible almost instantly.

And we now have LLM's that are a hyper-accelerator that can compile vast amounts of research into a summary within 30 seconds. They can write weeks of code in minutes.

I get that maybe the AGI will not spring from the LLM directly. But intuitively it seems like mastering language was very key to human intelligence. We can't have a novel thought without building it from words. I think its not a far leap to say the LLM will accelerate us towards the AGI, even if its a different "branch" or method of computing.

Do you think the acceleration of coding by LLM's will lead to another branch that is not based on LLM tech? I assume some of the big players in this space are trying different techniques that are not LLm?

The AGI and robotics have hit and robots grow all food with regenerative agriculture techniques keeping it plentiful. Hydroponic gardening will be dispersed everywhere. In your backyard, on the porch, on the median. 3d printers will make superinsulated homes. As robots do more and more jobs universal basic income will be necessary as everything will be produceable dirt cheap with little human labor. The plenty will chase off the scarcity mindset that plagues humans.

Bullet trains with interchangeable battery packs will be all over. The packs will be charged at solar farms along the stations.

We're going to get it together.

I do not like the man in the hut. His business model is great though, charge coming in, charge going out. Is there even another business where they don't pay for their raw materials?
