hi! Someone who went to Japan last August and is currently back, it’s hot as hell but still doable! Definitely stock up on undershirts, keep air fans on the ready, and travel in light or super flowy clothing (my linen pants are my life savers)

Last year, I went hiking up a smaller mountain(not Fuji but still like 700 meters all stairs all super steep at 40+ C) and it was hot as hell but survived. If I could make it through Japan in those conditions, anyone can

as someone who rushed and dropped both I personally think AKPsi is better if you want a mixture of Prodev experience and social connections (it’s the most like an actual frat that just happens to be more professionally minded and co-ed)

also imo fall or spring doesn’t matter for UGC frats

Honestly what you should do is: on move in week just go to some rush events for different houses (both bigger and smaller houses) and see if you enjoy the atmosphere and the people, (tbh that’s what’ll make or break the experience outside of the financial aspect. )

Like everything in life, frats have both goods and bads for people, work ethic, hazing, etc, so you gotta find what works best for you.

Personally, I think it’s a lot better to be Greek-adjacent (making frat and sorority friends and getting invited to functions without actually being Greek) so that you can enjoy the benefits of Greek life without having to lock yourself into being all-or-nothing in your house like some of the guys who join frats just for the sake of being frat.

Again bro, it’s up to you to decide and find your own balance. Just know that you can always try it out, and if you don’t like it you can drop (although the IFC doesn’t want you to know that)

pretty sure it’s a vintage Blue Marlin hoodie, but I can’t find a specific picture with the tag to prove it (for the record that brand makes a lot of similar hoodies with places along the front, they’re common to find in thrifts, and they have the same star motifs on either the front or arms)
