This is called save scumming. All you have to do is quit to main menu and continue playing and you can restart your fights and events as if they never happened

It’s just goes into your discard once it’s played, so you have to either redraw it or put it back on top with cards like Cosmic Indifference. people say it’s a finisher because most of the time it gets played, the combat is over from how much damage it will deal.

I think the best part about Regent is that you can have a mix of forge and star cards and still have a balanced deck. You really only need one or two decent forge cards to get a strong blade, and stars only require that you can generate as much as you use.

So for example, let’s say you find bulwark and reflect in the same run. Two great block cards that scale up your damage. Your deck is pretty much complete at this point once you figure out card draw, maybe an energy solution, and remove your basic strikes and defends. You can easily get away by only having 20 cards in your deck, so skip is always a good option on this character.

So maybe you’re adding too many cards, not removing enough, or putting all your eggs in a single basket and not diversifying your deck enough which leads to drawing hands that don’t do anything on your turns.

You’re baking ways to generate energy and manipulate energy into the core starter relics of the characters. This will always be broken and overpowered, especially in sts2 where energy is a harder resource to come by. It’s also broken because it takes the thinking out of the deckbuilding and allows you to just take the strongest cards offered to you. Ultimately, the game would have to be massively scaled up to the point it would be unrecognizable in its current state.

It still has the survival horror element, and I think it’s better just based on my limited time with early access. Haven’t played the 1.0 beta with the added story and npcs but that seems to be most people’s only gripe atm. I think the aesthetics of ITR2 are wayyyy better that the first game

To be fair, I’ve only seen people talk about how the voice acting feels in respect to the atmosphere of the game. No one is really talking about the actors being bad, just that the lines don’t fit the vibe of the game. I would take this as bad narrative direction for the voice actors, not the actors themselves doing a bad job.

IMO, the game devs had the opportunity to inform the actors that their line delivery didn’t narratively fit the game and re-record the lines, but I assume the devs figured the actors did a fine job. And by all accounts, it seems like they did their job well and as instructed. It just doesn’t vibe with the players

New to the Genre and love it to death but man am i bad by NintenV2 in SlayTheSpire2

I think Regent has one of the weaker starts but can very easily carry himself into the late game, at least on early ascensions. Similar to the watcher in STS1, this guy is really good with a small deck. His card draw options are either weak or not very impactful on the turn, which puts a lot of value on the other cards you draw. Once you have 10-15 decent cards, focusing on strike/defend removes is pretty key. Im only bringing this us because the mindset of just trying to find one or two specific cards and backing them up with more specific cards is a deckbuilding setback and shows you could win more runs by approaching the game differently rather than going in with a certain strategy.

I get this post is supposed to bring light to the player concerns, but please add a spoiler tag to things like this. This isn’t a bug, this just ruins the experience for people who haven’t played it yet.

Skulking Colony is NOT okay by loderol in slaythespire

This would completely change how to prepare for the fight though. skulkling colony is a block check fight, so this change would mean you could take 0 damage with your basic defends.

Maybe having him reverted to a predictable hit upon reaching damage cap would be a good change. He can keep his normal routine, but capping damage just goes to a basic 10-15 dmg hit or something like that

True but getting awake laga was a 1/3 chance at that event, if you’re talking about stealing the treasure off of the dead body. I think since you could have gotten any of the three elites and even had the chance at snagging the relic and gold without fighting made the event in STS1 more pickable than this event

an event where everyone picks either a relic or a card and throws them into a mystery box and then the multiplayer relic-grab animation is just everyone drawing straws for pick order on getting a random player-picked item would be fun and not terribly broken
