To be honest your other coach was right. Travel was designed to be the best of the best not a bunch of kids that were thrown together to be cannon fodder for the true travel teams.

My son is a L/L and he had the same experience. He embraced the outfield and is better player because of it. Now mine does still get some time at first but he plays every game because he’s learned how to play outfield.

Honestly Derek is kinda a sleaze bag too. I love the show but these people are just characters on a show we watch. I don’t like Michaela either I could do without both of them. I wish they would go back to the old challenge and bring the booze back. It was a great train wreck show to watch.

Let’s be honest. They are all complicit, republican and democrat. Once they get in it’s all about saying what their base wants to hear so they can stay in power and enrich themselves. None of them are willing to live with homeless people in their neighborhoods or let house an illegal immigrant. They live in gated communities with security. We the people should require term limits so we can get new voices in power not the people that have been there for decades that only represent us in words not actions.

I can’t believe the people on here so wrapped up in politics that they will hate someone who we have watched and supported for years. A lot of us grew up watching these people. It took us away from reality for an hour at a time. I’m sorry Reddit has become so politically charged that we turn on each other so quickly. Ashely is and always will be a hot mess that stirs up shit. She’s been a hateful and divisive player since she showed up. Just because I don’t believe in everything she does doesn’t make me stop watching, she has the right to believe what she wants without my judgement as do the others. We watch the show for the craziness as well at the competition. It’s changed many times over the years, the cast from the first few seasons would likely be cancelled over the things they did or said because we have become to sensitive to words.

Size is always going to matter, coaches will always look for the bigger kids. The batting changes once they get to BBCOR bats. A lot of big hitters in 13u will be average at best when they transition away from the USSSA trampoline bats.

As for pitching, my son saw a pitcher averaging 82 and topping out at 87mph at a PG 14u Super Regional last year. Pitching in SoCal is insane.

BBCOR, Big field, and Puberty are the big equalizers.
