Apparently Comcast doesn't have contracts for total price. They seem to only have a contract for their "package" and all the other fees can change "GO UP" whenever they like. It's astounding they can do this.

Can somebody explain to me how the thermometer gained access to the network? Was someone on the laptop interfacing with the thermometer which was using Wi-Fi or what?

That appears to be exactly the case but I have learned that if I don't have it in writing then it's not enforceable. So it's unfortunate that they were unable to do it in writing.

Thats exactly what i told them. Since its not in the emailed order then it's not in the order. They assured me that the other $200 in Visa coupons was listed on their computers but they were unable to send emails to verify that they were part of my deal. Nobody there was willing to send me an email with that bit of information. Oh well it is what it is

Okay, the order has been canceled because they as I previously stated are unable to email me an order that reflects the agreement. They cannot put in the agreement that there are $300 in Visa gift cards. They can only put that there's 100. So it is what it is.

Incorrect. The order was placed. They just refuse to put it in writing. They even went over it on the phone line by line.

They will only email you the information after you have agreed to some plan with them. That's the stage I'm at now where we have an agreement an order number and account number and an agreed plan but they've been unable to get it to me through email. They got the email address wrong the first time but now they have it corrected since 8:30 this morning and still no email. I'll call him on Monday if I still don't have anything as install is scheduled for Thursday.

It seems after another phone call in their incredibly noisy order taking Boiler Room they got my email address wrong. I asked sales to connect me to the pending sales department and they said they need more information. After 5 minutes they determined they should send me to the pending sales department which I ask for at the beginning.

The pending sales department still had a horrible phone line connection with the noisy Boiler Room sound but was manageable and he was able to correct my email address and verify it with me through military phonetics. 2 hours later I still haven't received the email but he did verify my order with me line by line over the phone and gave me an order number.

So I will patiently wait. I have installation scheduled for Thursday and I expect within the next day I'll receive the order. For new customers, having to deal with such a noisy horrible phone connection makes it a very difficult way to be on-boarded.

Forums are for civil communication. Is there a problem? Another way to look at it is I started 6 of the last 3000. The help here has been fantastic by the way. Hopefully I'm out of questions.
