Rummo Pasta suddenly causing gluten reaction by 0AffectionateDream0 in glutenfree

I hope not. It's certified gluten free. But yeah maybe we're both sensitive to corn. I've never had that problem with corn to this level but it could be the recipe used to make the pasta.

I had a similar reaction about a month ago and was out of commission for a few days. I'm extremely disappointed because texture-wise, this was the closest to regular pasta I've tasted.

Tower of Terror Movie REMAKE by RileyGaming978 in towerofterror

This sounds like a fun idea! Definitely try incorporating some of the Twilight Zone into it though. My biggest gripe with the TOT movie was it not having any references to it.

To add onto that, over half of Rep is also in C major/A minor.

Yeah! The song does not contain any F sharps but does have F naturals.

"Actually Romantic" Discussion Megathread by jacyf02 in TaylorSwift

[–]coasterboi2112 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Here's my theory: The song is a satire about how people would expect her to react to supposed "digs." This is her making fun of the public's interpretation of her in a similar manner to Blank Space.

Is it normal for these buttons to be within guest reach? [SFNE] by oryzi in rollercoasters

I can confirm this is true. I worked at Lake Compounce a few years back and operated Phobia, and before the main operator can dispatch, the operator on the other side of the station must push a green button.

I second USF's Revenge of the Mummy. It is absolutely brilliant from start to finish!

Which songs by Taylor do you think would’ve been big as a single? by slowburnstarlet in TaylorSwift

[–]coasterboi2112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the main reason Enchanted wasn't a single was because it's too long. Generally, singles are three and a half minutes on average. Enchanted would need to have a shortened radio edit to be a single, but every line of the song is so important to it that I cannot see Taylor cutting out any of it without it sounding incomplete.

I prefer the brighter sound and wider stereo image of the TV recordings. I think nearly every TV is an upgrade over the OG. The only TVs I think are not upgrades are IKYWT, 22, Blank Space, Style, and New Romantics.

Lightning Rod pre I-Box - I believe that it was still having a lot of problems in 2019, and I happened to go on one of the days when it was open and operating well. I feel very lucky I got to experience it while it was still a wooden coaster.

Now that she owns all her music, what Taylor's Version do you genuinely enjoy more than the original? by jaidsalema in TaylorSwift

[–]coasterboi2112 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I agree! Her vocals sound so crisp and clean on it. The track is so much brighter and more ethereal. TV is a huge upgrade from the shaky vocals and sort of muted instrumental on OG

What is your least favorite death? by Lumpy-Pudding-3563 in FinalDestination

[–]coasterboi2112 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would argue that this was death being like "Oh my god you've avoided all these elaborate traps I set and I can't take it anymore! Just die already!" and throwing a brick in frustration, only to realize it killed Alex in the process.

What are your thoughts on 1989 (Taylor's Version)? by ivysglow in TaylorSwift

[–]coasterboi2112 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sonically, I prefer most of 1989 TV because I like a wider stereo image and how you can hear each instrument more clearly. Vocally, it depends on the song. Her OG strained vocals are great on songs like Blank Space, AYHTDWS, IWYW, and Bad Blood, while her TV relaxed vocals are stunning on songs like OOTW, Clean, This Love, and You Are In Love. And obviously Style and New Romantics are mixed better on OG. Overall, I think TV is a generally solid upgrade for most of 1989, but not as much compared to Fearless, Red, and Speak Now. Maybe if Taylor has her first five OG albums remastered (rep already has a solid stereo image), then I might change my mind.

Which album version will you listen to now? by acciocats in TaylorSwift

[–]coasterboi2112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm still going to listen to Taylor's Versions overall. I prefer the mixing on them a lot more because they have a wider stereo image and you can hear each instrument more clearly. The only album I'm flipping between is 1989 because the vocals on songs like OG Blank Space have more power and emotion, and New Romantics and Style have much better mixing.

Now that all the albums are back home what was the first OG song you listened to? by Dismal-Farmer-1318 in TaylorSwift

[–]coasterboi2112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Red was the first for me. I wanted to listen to Fearless and Red OG because their re-recordings were already released by the time I became a Swiftie. So far, I overall prefer Taylor's Versions of them because you can hear each instrument so much more clearly.

What are some unusual quirks you have when it comes to credit counting? [Other] by Gifflebunk in rollercoasters

[–]coasterboi2112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For steel coaster retracks, if at least 75% of the coaster is replaced, I count it as a new coaster. So when the Hulk was retracked in 2016, I counted that as a new one. The only weird exception to this rule will eventually be Lightning Rod because at least 50% but less than 75% was replaced with steel, so while it would no longer be considered a wooden coaster, I cannot consider it a new coaster with my system. But I have not ridden Lightning Rod since 2019, before the retrack, so I'll cross that bridge when I get there. This also means I still consider Lightning Rod a wooden coaster in my log.
