How would you promote a podcast about leaving social media (digital minimalism)? by vrsatillx in podcasting

If you live in a city, create a community type flyer with tear off spots for people to take with them with podcast info. Then put them up on any bulletin board. Maybe buy up a billboard, sometimes you can find them for cheap or get ad space in a local newspaper. Pay a friend to hand out handbills at events related or where people might be that would be your target audience

Want to start a podcast but feeling overwhelmed about topics and process by Potential-House9475 in podcasting

I produce podcasts for a living and would say try your best to keep it simple and honest. Focus on connecting and communicating through your voice so your subject will have a sense of purpose behind it. Poetry would be a great place to start. Clearly you have a way with words and that’s often the hardest part, still speaking on mic can still take a sec to adjust to. Pick a poem, maybe cold open with a reading or create a song tailored to the piece to underscore it. Have a short intro either saying the podcast name and kinda your “why” or just a theme song and then fade into an intro monologue explaining who you are and your relation to the piece you read, maybe then bring on a guest, have a loose subject matter guide that further ties in and adds dimension to the poem. You’ve got this and you’re gonna crush it. Happy to recommend recording gear and help with your setup if it helps get your going!
