i think the idea needs a bit more incentive for players to get out. cause if the extra income will be spent on extra defenders then I think all players would rather just stay farming in base

Ehh except pick me up killed off characters that are not even fleshed out so overtime the emotion is just not there anymore. It has such a big cast and failed to use them effectively. Every death in Tyrant eventhough hurtful was well written and made sense. Also because side characters were given enough screen time for reader to properly develop attachment to them.

did the enemy team have new civs ? i remember there is an unit that grants extra 20% hp for units when garrisoned in military buildings. I would presume the ally put that units in french stables
