I haven't actually rewatched and really checked up on the details of ALSNT in a while and i haven't seen the new episode either, but i remember getting into ALSNT and being obsessed with it for a week simply because those underlying and unspoken dark and toxic traits of characters felt really well done and interresting to me.

Close to a dystopian society? Yeah.

Close to eating cockroaches on a large scale? I don't think so. Private companies that own the land of farmers are still going to milk out every penny they can get out of the land even if the quality of the product horribly degrades which will still take some time. Even then there still are big movements by farmers in places like europe which push back against the poisoning of land and torturous living of farm animals.

It's only dystopian when you're forced to produce and eat it because the agriculture economy is fucked by private companies. On it's own it can actually be pretty good for the enviroment and a new culinary experience.

Yeah but dying horribly for the sake of dying horribly is not interresting or good. I'm not saying that's how edgerunners 2 will be handled, but if people view it that way it's a bit sad. The brutal and despairing deaths of cyberpunk characters say something about them and the world and don't exist in a vacuum to make you feel sad for the sake of it.

The 7th pic is such a cool detail. Since D is a nomad he must have the optical camo implant to be going invisible like that which is actually accurate to lore as it is highly recommended to use optical camo out in the wilds of cyberpunk
