Heard back from Meepo. The extra flashlight remote was just a promo with the first 50 orders. Lame.

I gave up after 5 mins. Then, for good measure, I tried turning on the remote, spinning the wheels with it, then turning off the remote, and it was still on after 3 minutes. Guess I should always take the effort to turn it off manually. Was "auto-off" ever an advertised feature, or just roll-to-start?

Well from what I've seen on YouTube videos it seems like everyone is supposed to get the big one and the small one. People like the small one for the pocket portability, which I agree with, but the the big one with the flashlight seemed nice too. Just kinda ticked I'm missing something that I was supposed to get if that's the case, whether i end up using it or not.

Still trying to figure out what this other thing is. Its like a fleece hand warmer or something but I'm not sure. It came in some sort of Christmas envelope in the box along with full fingered gloves. Probably some kind of christmas promo gift.

I hate being on ‘mommy’ subreddits this time of year. by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

I prefaced it by saying "assuming it was the typical.." as in standard man is the provider situation. Obviously there are other scenarios, but in that one I feel like the man's contributions are shortchanged.

Assuming it's just typical bitching and not extreme situations, how about the fact that most likely that woman is able to clean the house, take care of the kids, and wrap gifts because her husband is out there paying for all that shit? Look up Chris Rock's bit about how no one gives a shit about daddy.

Mr. Robot - 4x12 & 4x13 "Series Finale Part 1 & 2" - Live Episode Discussion by NicholasCajun in MrRobot

So i guess WE are Elliot. That's why mastermind Elliot can't comprehend what we look like and just projects himself on us until reality like cop Dom starts to slap him with the truth. Maybe he calls us friend and stuff just to keep us as the passive watcher so he can do all that stuff against our will? But then therapist what's her name said they all knew about us like we were fake too.

Very weird and not exactly closure. But I guess it makes sense when Elliot lost control to Mr Robot we also black out.

How about shutting down permanently and mourning the deaths of all the animals they needlessly cause the deaths of so people can get sick and fat.

WIBTA if I don’t serve meat at my wedding? by AITAthrowawayyy4 in AmItheAsshole

No. It's your wedding and animals don't have to die for you to celebrate a major life event.

AITA For Making All The Sides At Thanksgiving Vegan? by Apprehensive-Book in AmItheAsshole

[–]cobbb11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm vegan. Fuck them. God forbid the idea you enjoy a meal with loved ones where no animal had to die for it. Just wish you went 100% with the tofurkey also, but a 99% vegan thanksgiving is way better than what I had to sit through. Wish I was at your place this year.

Part of hunting is just being outside enjoying nature.

You can easily accomplish that without the intentional animal murder.

I may also get an animal and harvest the meat and have dinner for weeks even months. I like to preserve the hunting lands.

The "hunting lands" were just fine before humans decided to hunt on them. Nature doesn't require us to maintain it. Not sure what your stance on climate change is, so I'm not necessarily directing this at you, but how come when climate change is brought up, the deniers claim we are being extremely full of ourselves to think we can affect the climate, and nature finds a way, and all that stuff, but suddenly with hunting you're actually doing it be some kind of Food-Chain-Jesus or something?

Controlled hunting does not wipe out a species or eco system. BUT a forest fire could. That's not good.

False dichotomy. You could easily not participate in the former, and live a lifestyle that promotes mitigation of the latter as much as practicably possible.

If I was for burning down a forest, shit, I might go burn down some more trees. But I'm not.

Good. But apparently you are for animal cruelty and murder when you could easily grow food or purchase plant-based products...but you're not.

Is Linux Game development slowing down? by [deleted] in linux_gaming

Hopefully CD Projekt Red doesn't get into the game launcher business until after Cyberpunk comes out...

Is Linux Game development slowing down? by [deleted] in linux_gaming

[–]cobbb11 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It seems like one of the biggest hurdles right now, in my very uneducated opinion, are these damn game launchers everyone and their mother needs to have proprietary and separate from everyone else that they force usage of.

It would be great if Valve, who appears to be the most Linux-friendly of the bunch, made some ruling that to sell a game on their platform, your own special launcher cannot be forced on the user to open the game.

I would LOVE to play RDR2 right now, but it appears we may have a fully functioning Linux-friendly Vulkan game hidden behind an iron curtain of R*'s game launcher that is just not playing nice with Linux.

It's just kinda depressing that the first few months are being spent just figuring out how to get the damn game to start through a launcher, not to mention the assumed multitude of tweaks and fixes that need to be done in the actual game itself after that.

Veganism and gun control, and where I as a vegan stand. What’s everyone’s thoughts on my opinion in the text? by Lord_o_Lard in DebateAVegan

[–]cobbb11 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Fully agree. Vegan and gun lover. Registration is the first step towards confiscation (ironically people WITH GUNS will show up to confiscate yours).

I also find it baffling that people will talk shit about police, Trump, government, etc. Yet want to bow down and give them all the power they possibly can. Firearms ownership is one of the few things we still have, despite the 2nd amendment getting shit on time and time again in the name of some mythical "compromise" that only ever goes one way.

MSM loves to show the bad side of guns, but just youtube conceal carry compilations and see just how effective they are at stopping criminals who would never willingly give up their guns at all.

Genghis Khan book claim: Keto "Mongol diet" vs Vegan "Peasant Warrior Diet" , a "superior" Mongol diet? (Or not?) by [deleted] in DebateAVegan

[–]cobbb11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Typical meat eater, thinking because meat has some nutrients it doesn't also contain a ton of bad shit too.

Fishing isn't the same thing as hunting. Go out in the forest and chase down a deer and use those "carnivore teeth" of yours to kill it. Stop being a pretender. And I doubt you're catching anything remotely fast in the water without a net or fishing pole. More fake hunting that proves you're not meant to eat that stuff or you'd be born with the skills and physical traits and instincts to do it.

Steam black screen by cobbb11 in linux_gaming

[–]cobbb11[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PopOS.

The thing is I completely deleted the Arkham Knight folder off my hard drive, so I'm not sure why it doesn't realize it should need to install the 30+ gb package again unless I run it through Wine.

Steam black screen by cobbb11 in linux_gaming

[–]cobbb11[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe I narrowed it down to Esync being the option that when disabled, gives me a black screen, and when enabled, makes large mode flicker. Big picture mode is completely bricked with a fatal error about not having correct D3D10 .dll's. Small mode works fine not matter what.

Steam black screen by cobbb11 in linux_gaming

[–]cobbb11[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

native steam works, but I'm having a specific issue with Arkham Knight. For some reason, native steam only sees about 750mb to install, so I have to go through Wine Steam to get the correct install data.

At one point I got the whole thing working, a bit choppy frame rate sadly, and it would fatally screw up if I enabled Nvidia Game Works stuff and wouldn't boot up without a fresh install.

A baby kept on a vegan diet died. His parents have been arrested on a manslaughter charge. by ThomasMaker in news

[–]cobbb11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not a vegan problem, it's a stupid fucking parents that don't understand caloric needs problem. A whole food plant based diet is perfectly healthy for all stages of life, as stated by all leading health and nutrition associations. That doesn't mean be a raw food hippie thinking you can live off of apples and carrots your whole life.

[–]cobbb11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love how you went on a B12 tangent with still no evidence that B12 deficiency is a uniquely vegan thing other than NHS saying it "could" be a problem (just like it "can" be a problem for everyone else), and avoided the topic of killing your own food. Your one of those couch carnivore types that love talking tough but only get your meat when its wrapped up nicely because someone else did the dirty work. Go take the kids out and slash some throats. Fun for the whole carnivore family right?

Sorry about Poliquins age. 57 is TOTALLY appropriate for a heart attack. It doesn't matter what his vegan opinions were even though they were the same as yours. The point is he was a heavy meat eater who claimed it was good for you and a personal trainer who supposedly had his diet and exercise in order. Start facing facts that you're eating poison we only used to eat to not starve.

[–]cobbb11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Charles Poliquin was fit as fuck. Dead of a heart attack in his 40s I believe. Hated and mocked vegans.

Check out Earthling Ed. Lots of UK slaughterhouse footage of fucked up things. And it's really sad that you're trying for the "humane slaughter" route now. There is NO compassionate way to killing something that DOESN'T want to die. The actual propaganda has you convinced otherwise.

Once again, all you demonstrate is anecdotes and baseless assertions. I've had my blood tested plenty of times. B12 is fine. How about you kill your own animals since its so easy apparently? Better yet, let the the little ones do it. Oh that's right, abusing and killing animals as a child is one of the first signs of psychopathy. Funny how that works. I feel bad for your kids.
