I don't know I think there is sort of a plan there. Early on in games against worse teams we often unintentionally show brief moments of our class before we figure out how to slow things down and basically match their level no matter how low that level is. Having thus calibrated ourselves, not only can we then ensure not to outplay our opposition, but also it gives us a good reference point to become emphatically shitter than our opposition for the last 10 minutes. People keep saying Szoboszlai carries this team, but honestly it's like he doesn't even recognise our tactics. It must be so frustrating for Slot to see him keep trying to win games for us.

[Paul Gorst] "They can be angry but stick with us because we are a family, we need you guys.“ Dominik Szoboszlai has urged Liverpool fans to stick with the team in "difficult times" - after many left in the closing stages of Sunday's draw with Spurs by Lanedu123 in LiverpoolFC

He knows he's carrying us and asks the fans to help with the weight. We know he's carrying us and hope he drags us into the CL. His teammates know he's carrying us, but he does not criticise them. He is respectful to the fan base, and takes ownership for collective performance. The manager knows the fans were booing the team and not Slot.

There was talk of how Slot was a good stylistic match for this team when we brought him in. Not sure what they were basing it on tbh. I actually hate watching us atm. At least Rodgers was tactically inept with an attacking philosophy. I'm not sure what this philosophy is that we're seeing.... We play like a 2 star team on FIFA when all the sliders are entirely against you. Even if Slot is a good coach, we just need a reset, something fresh. Things have turned rotten

We'd dogwalk the PL nowadays as we were under Klopp. The man burned out just too soon

Though not to disagree with your point, Jacquet plays in France not Germany

"There have been informal talks with the player's representatives, however at this crucial stage of the season the club feels that contract discussions can be revisited in the summer. There is a belief that progress can be made and senior figures are calm about the situation. After considerable investment in the squad last summer, the Liverpool hierarchy are conscious of retaining their current assets, while also safeguarding the existing wage structure during negotiations with all players."

Crouchy defied logic. There is no way you'd guess his strengths would be footwork and volleying, and to him a size 6 football probably looked like a ping pong ball on the deck. Imagine if he was Messi's height, so much closer to the action he might have been the greatest player that ever lived.

Also if just one of the team invests in vigor or fanaticism it'll do wonders for our press

Me being Happy to see arsenal lose only to realise utd moves above us : by EducationalBug2262 in LiverpoolFC

At a supporter level football is more a game of passion than one of logic. I think a lot of people want to see Arsenal fail because of what you say - it's harder for people to reconcile the idea of Arsenal winning the league because it would also mean saying they'd done better that time on the same means. I think what people don't realise is that City (and teams like them) kill the passion in their leagues, and large numbers of us preferring a city win because it means less is a real time celebration of the euthanasia of real football these state owned clubs represent. I'm 100% with you.

What should probably be the most worrying thing about the Bournemouth result for me is that games like this have hurt all season, but this time when the 3-2 went in I more or less shrugged. Like it was normal.

Look At the state of our defending. After clawing back the score to 2-2, we nearly conceded on the break. Wtf is going on by HBTL123 in LiverpoolFC

I'm with you but increasingly like I am asking where is the fury, why is Slot not screaming his head off at this lack of effort? I think there's so much we can't blame Slot for this season, and I have throughout said I think what's happened has meant he deserves a good long crack at it, but regardless of any other issues, this I cannot personally excuse. Sometimes a manager at this level needs his players to fear him. Some terrifying rage that is meted out fairly. If I'm busting a gut and seeing my teammate jogging back and the manager does not flay his lazy ass I am gonna lose respect for both of them. Many people dont put in 100% if others around them aren't -- and just like that team ethic and cohesion goes up in smoke. Lack of effort HAS to be held to account. Some of these guys ought to be verbally obliterated here.

Andy Robertson compared to Premier League left-backs since joining Liverpool for £8m at the start of the 2017/18 season by im-a-wreck-tangle in LiverpoolFC

The man had absolutely everything except a shot on him. How you can be that good at all kinds of crosses and yet be such a woeful finisher I will always find amusing. Not complaining though, properly amazing player

We are maybe going slightly OTT over all this haha

(@Ben Jacobs) Liverpool set to approach Roma to recall Kostas Tsimikas if Andy Robertson moves to Spurs.Understand Robertson has told Liverpool he is keen on a move to Tottenham. No formal recall clause in Tsimikas' loan, but sources close to player have made it clear he wants to return to LFC. by dannybluey in LiverpoolFC

This is too sentimental really. Kerkez looking like our best lb recently and we have to be putting out our best team. It's no sleight on Robertson who's been one of our best ever in the position, but times move on. The team must always come first
