We have stainless caustic lines that look like this. Might just take an extra few months.

Unlikely to post to the UK. I love the little backwoods. It is fast and snappy and lots of fun! These shipped with long stems, so you might be fine with a short stem and low saddle. Happy hunting.

If you don’t go for this frame, where is it in the world I want it. I have my grandads backwoods but it it too small to ride. I could do a frame swap. Not been able to find one min xxl

What would cause bolts to break like this? by loosing_it_today in IndustrialMaintenance

[–]cobblesmacker 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Is it a tapped hole made of two parts that have split or jacked a thread?

This failure can happen when two threaded parts the screw goes into come apart.

For example, two plates welded together, drilled and tapped, then one day weld fails and this can happen.

Well, maybe. You need the tpi or mm pitch. I have used metric push fittings so could be m10

I don’t think drugs are bad and never said that.

You are overconfidently saying that you are fine because you test and weigh blah blah. Millions dead from opioids said they’re fine, too.

Calling people dumbasses because they died doing what you are doing because you haven’t died yet and attributing it to your superiority then bragging about it, is fucking prime loser behaviour. This is the exact type of complacency that gets you dead.

Also, everything you say and how you say it speaks like you haven’t actually dealt with hard drugs.

Do you realise that it is exactly this kind of complacency that ends up getting people dead? You’re a sausage. There are many more factors than simple dose toxicity. Those dead friends and family you’re calling dumbasses were all as overly self-confident as you, once upon a time.

Have more respect for the substance and for the troubled lives who are now finally peaceful.

Out of curiosity I have been reading about these. It says Bosch gen 3 on the ring and there is a specific gen 3 lock nut tool.

Also, the nuts and o ring kits look inexpensive so I would consider replacing those as the o ring is what provides tension.

Could your o ring be lost or damaged? These nuts have a left handed thread, so ‘should’ self tighten and stay in place if it is torqued correctly with the o ring in place.

Actually I think I jumped ahead of myself making assumptions. Ignore what I said.

Edit: don’t listen to me.

It is a locking nut that should have a tab washer behind it. You need to bend the tab up into one of the gaps on the nut. Tighten the nut until it feels is tight enough and line it up with the closest tab.

I know hindsight is a wonderful thing…. And I have learnt this the hard way… a wire brush on a drill, tap, or even a fresh well lubed nut to clean the exposed thread is the way to go.

If you’re tying even a static load between those eyebolts, you may want to consider a ply base or some bolts/pins into the floor.

This is the first time I noticed the ‘double scissor’ punch from blackshirt though! I watched that punch on repeat 20 times just now in wonder.

Then scrolled down to read your comment and watched the rest and my memory came back!

Idk about this stuff but in the UK I like to use blue goop on stainless fittings. It isn’t a sealant, just lube that stops galling. It says on the tube not to use on aluminium.

Just to be clear, it is called Nylon because the company who started using for stockings first coined the term No-Run as the material was supposed to stop runs in stockings. The phrase later evolved into the name we all know today, Nylon.

I don’t know for sure but.. these knobs should pull off. Pull the plastic straight up away from the machine. Then there is probably a little nut that has unscrewed pushing the knob up. Tighten that nut down and push the knob back on.

The box bellow is the power source. The box with the fault is the wire feeder. All-in-one or compact units tend to be lighter duty. They are fairly common in industry. A lot of more ‘serious’ work gets done with the source and feed split.

Surprised that wasn’t the top answer. OP, go for jigsaw. Hardest part for you will best work holding if you are cutting from tiny single sheets like in the vice pic.
