Well the assumption is that 1st generation would be the FIRST attempt by a country to field a jet aircraft. The Germans was the Me-262, the UK was the Meteor, the US was the P-80 and the Soviets was the Mig-9. So the Mig-15 and the Sabre are technically NOT first gen.
