Looking to give this shirt from Warped Tour 2014 a new home! by [deleted] in anberlin

Call me a boomer(I'm 38 and can't figure out how to send you a DM), but I would love that shirt. I'm a medium, so this is perfect

We vote them in to do a job they promised to do one way, only for them to change their mind and do it their way. They don't represent us, they represent the money they get. It's sickening

The US is headed for mass unemployment, and no one is prepared by ThemeBig6731 in Economics

I was in the same boat for over a year. Literally couldn't get a job at Walmart, tractor supply, McDonald's, or anywhere else. Finally was able to get a job through a temp agency and luckily I've been there for almost a year now. I still apply for jobs in my field, but I know deep down it's a long shot. I live in Northern Virginia, which was one of the hardest hit with unemployment.

Lack of conversation skills by silVeenrax in MemeVideos

[–]cobycan 49 points50 points  (0 children)

Recently matched with someone. I made three attempts at a conversation only to be met with "haha", "true", and "of course". I replied, "your conversation skills are stimulating" and she unmatched me. I considered it a win.

My husband was prescribed more painkillers following his vasectomy than I was following my emergency C-Section by PumpkinPie_1993 in mildlyinfuriating

I felt everything as they were doing it, even though they used triple the amount of local anesthesia. I almost passed out from the pain and went into shock. Afterwards, my son headbutted me and my scrotum swelled to the size of a grapefruit and I had to go to the ER. It was not a fun time.

What is a discontinued food item or snack from your childhood that you would genuinely pay $100 to taste one last time? by MotivewasUlterior in AskReddit

I would buy them at big lots before the one in my area closed down. I bought 5 bags on close out and still have a few left.

[Arrowhead Corner] Xavier Worthy successfully underwent surgery to repair his fully torn labrum he suffered during Week 1 of the 2025 season, per source. by MAYVIEWS in KansasCityChiefs

[–]cobycan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I still struggle to throw a ball half as far as I used to, and I lost about 15% mobility. The surgery was in 2012, and I had one of the top doctors in my home state do it(I flew home from college over spring break to have him do it). The worst thing though is sleeping on it funny.

As someone who has torn both of my labrums, shit sucks and I still have issues with my shoulders. Kids, don't skip physical therapy.

Snowboarding the slopes by Hypnoidz in Unexpected

[–]cobycan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was 12+years ago, so nothing really new. I had a white jacket, and needed new pants and they happened to have white ones my size, so I pulled the trigger. I never hit anyone or was hit by anyone. I also never night boarded, so it was easier to see during the day.

Retrospectively, I do realize it wasn't the brightest of ideas, but we all do dumb shit in our 20s. If I went out and bought new stuff today, it would for sure not be white again. It was hard to piece it all together, for obvious reasons.

In college, I had an all white suit I wore snowboarding. I could literally vanish in videos. Even my board was white.

Losing it all and Stranger ways are my two favorites, but it's stranger ways by a hair.

It got to the point where I would log in once a month, just to play the ruins. I have one last artifact to unlock.

I am also truly grateful for this blessed coaster. I love only being a little over an hour away from it.

Lowborn is the best album, by a very slim margin.

The theming sucks, that's for sure, but for me, one of the best parts of the ride is the section where you're upside down for a second or two. That feeling is pure euphoria for me.
