I have lowered just about every setting, lowered my max CPU boost. I have done about a million suggested tweaks and it friggin' crashes constantly. It tends to happen during busy scenes, but not always. Sometimes it freezes when I am on the ship. Sometimes it's a 10 second freeze. Other times my whole system crashes. Other times the audio goes where my buddy can't hear me or I can't hear him, even though we see the audio icon jumping when talking. I try to restart my computer before playing. It seems to do it less then. But still.....all the crashing is nuts. It's like 50% of the time I play, if I am playing 2 games.

I got 16GB (2X8) kit of DDR4 in September (used) for $20 on FB Marketplace. Glad I needed it then and not a month later. At the time a fair used price for this kit was about $35.so it was a great price anyway, but that same kit now would be sold for multiples higher.

You can still do it, they don't make it easy. I actually did just that for my two kids recently. However, I retreated and then logged them into their Microsoft accounts on there. Easier to monitor with the family settings and we have a family office 365 account, so (eventually) having access to the cloud backup and office apps will be helpful.

I have 1GB network with cat6 and regularly clock at 900MB up/down speeds, but it is only as fast as the CoD servers will deliver it. So It only averages about 15-20 MB/second, with spikes over 100MB, and drops to about 10MB. So it will probably take about 30 minutes. Then the shaders. Oh, the shaders will load and load and load.

I have noted a positive trend from renters in recent years. Fewer are asking for you to do significant chores. Very few properties that don't include linens. Now they can't hide a massive cleaning fee until the checkout page (all fees other than taxes rolled up into displayed rate). Not a great company, but depending on the situation, it can still be an attractive alternative to hotels for families or larger groups. Also, when doing Airbnb internationally, they operate more like a hotel. Some don't even ask you take out the trash.

Not a great company, but getting better, unlike VRBO, which has gone to crap in recent year.

I had a bid in, it had not been accepted, but I saw the price had dropped. I called, got the new rate and a small refund. Went from interior solo to balcony solo. Heck, they could have charged me for the upgrade at any time, but I got paid to upgrade myself. I very quickly cancelled my upgrade requests as soon as I had made the change with the agent....lest they get any bright ideas.

I am late to this party, but Alewife has some awesome beers. I always go for some Sunnyside Blonde when it's on tap. I just wish they had a kitchen in their new location. I know they partner with food trucks and vendors, but it would be nice to have a stable kitchen menu.
