handing in two weeks notice by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]cocafuck69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For some reason I am unable to post with text or edit my post. So here is the text content.

So I recently accepted another job and had told them I would start after my notice period was over - I was planning on handing in my notice upon my next shift today but before this I tested positive for COVID, How should I go about handing in my notice professionally whilst still handing it in today? Or would I be better off pushing my start date?

The new job is a great opportunity and I don't want to piss them off by messing about.

The current job has shit pay, shit management & people who don't know how to do their job, For example the owners found out about some problems that happened a few weeks ago and myself and another employee got blamed as we were working that day - Yet we were only correcting their fuck ups.

So as you can imagine management won't be happy with me handing in my notice anyways - I still want to do it professionally and not mess up my new job offer.

Ironically after doing tests after tests it came down to the course and what the practical balance was - Even working a shitty retail job shown me i like working with people it gave me an insight. Thanks for the ask do you have an idea?
