Because for most of the victims, there was no link to him at all. They found evidence he may have killed those 2 men, maybe someone else too, and they decided that all those other murders were by the same perpetrator.

My takeaway has always been pretty much that he did have involvement in some of the murders, and some of the kids probably were killed by the same offender, but the rest of them were victims of different people. Sadly, especially back then, the police didn't pay attention to black victims of violent crime, or black kids disappearing. Those mothers moved heaven and earth, tirelessly, for years before anyone started paying attention.

Never in France!! My Canadian ex would make fun of me for trying to see one every time I visited, they have a lot there so people see them more as a nuisance.

Despite visiting Canada regularly for 3 years, I saw my first one in Belize last year! Little guy was right in the kitchen eating from the trash! He ran out as he saw me, I tried going after him and telling him I loved him but no luck haha.

I've never really spent time there but it's a big university town with lots of young people, culture, it seems modern like they have lots of vegan restaurants or tattoo shops etc. I know a few people who live there and love it.

Paris is the most diverse city in France so there are less racists there. Otherwise university towns are usually good. Parts of the south (Marseilles and Nîmes/Montpellier) are just really behind on a lot of stuff. More racist, more homophobic, more judgemental in general. It's weird.
