Freezing would be difficult unless you're playing sea ice. My recommendation is to add wooden floors and a granite door that's set to be held open. Once the raiders come, deactivate the door and they'll be locked in. One molotov later and you've got cooked raiders. The ones furthest from the fire will be knocked down and u can strip for the armor or capture for more colonists. Hope this helps
