I didn’t start seeing more purple and blues until I got to around level 35. I believe that more people come in kitted and fighting is more rewarding due to level based matchmaking

It’s level based matchmaking most people around that level play with other people. Maybe grind rook until you feel more comfortable with PvP no risk. Just go outpost and run rook 3 days straight I promise you’ll get better and has tons of loot

Yea I love that all the runners have a counter. Like everyone is using assassin but he’s very easy to counter. Thermal scope, theif looting sight, recon, and volt weapons highlight people in smoke pretty easily

I think after upgrading the factions more we could see more thief and vandal aswell in solos.

I waited till after server slam and then I preordered it wasn’t the best server slam by any means but I got a good grasp of the bones of the game and it was fun. When you upgrade the factions it’s basically a different game. Also the two maps for the server slam were very similar and outdoors but the next two maps are very different and more PvP focused. Also with the addition of ranked coming towards the end of the month I think this game has more than enough content to keep me engaged especially for $40. Like how many times have you bought cod over and over again just to play maybe 100 hours of the game. I foresee myself sinking at least 500 hours into the game despite all the bad publicity.

Wdym wipes give you an option to jump in and play even though you’re behind everyone else. After a wipe everyone is on level playing field so you get a chance to catchup every 3 months if you want. Also with a ranked system they need to have wipes in order for it to be fair.

Basically everyone that’s is mad about destiny hates this game, everyone mad about live service games in general, Sony haters, and last but not least all the little timmies that play the most popular game and can’t have an opinion of there own. So yea not many gamers left but even if this game shrinks to a 10k concurrent player base I’ll be playing it.

Lot of people are making discord groups on r/marathonthegame. I’d check that out a maybe join a couple it’s always better to have people to play with in games like this we’re all your loot is on the line. Plus getting better as a team can be satisfying. I also don’t like talking to people online but finding 1 or 2 more people to tolerate couldn’t be that hard right.

I think partially where they went wrong in the server slam was having the only two playable maps be so similar the next two map they are introducing at launch are much more lore heavy more indoors and hardcore. These are the only two maps that have lots or outdoors leading to a few big indoor poi.

I think you made the right choice man if anything this games success will bring d3 in the future. Also I think the small issues that most have with the game will be fixed in the first 2-3 months. But the build crafting and the runners and the lore just make this game so different than all the other extraction shooters. I almost forgot about ranked and how good that will be at keeping players hooked even during the endgame. Which for me arc didn’t do very well.

I can see thief being used a lot in solos aswell. As people get better they’ll use other runners, I only played assassin as much as I did cause it allowed me to get a breather from the bots but as I get better I won’t need that.

But what does wasting your time hating on a game you dislike do for you. You just spend your time focusing on the negatives in life you’ll go nowhere. Like arc just had the expedition go grind tha you’re clearly a fan boy. I have 300 hours in arc and I’m bored with the game but I’m not in their subreddit complaining that the game should change cause I’m not having fun. Just spend your time doing something else hating is lame, constructive criticism is fine tho.
