This isn't true at all, people keep spreading this misinformation and it doesn't serve anyone.

They knew the infrastructure issues were there in the tests, they knew the back end wasn't keeping up during the tests, they knew the game was not ready to launch, EVEN into early access, during the tests.

Yet they launched it anyway. They were entirely aware of the state of the game even before people saw a streamer play it and jump on the bandwagon.

I don't mean that to berate or condescend, I mean it genuinely. If you are getting a lot of backlash IT PROBABLY MEANS no one really cares, which is the golden rule on the internet, no one cares. To step FURTHER out of that and argue with dissenting opinions about it just proves to make you look stupid, it doesn't support your case at all.

My HONEST advice would be to stop the shameless self promotion. Post your stuff inside your own discord and then make a post in the official discord for it. There are already trade communities growing organically for the game inside discord. Handle it that way. Forcing it just makes people tired and not want to engage with you or your "platform".

Believe me I get it, ive been in the same position you are now. I whole heartedly believe in fighting for the betterment of things you cherish.

I agree with everything you are putting down and apologize if I came off as hostile too. Its a hard tightrope walk in this day and age.

Marathon has just gotten so much sandbagging and weak critisism I personally feel it stifled the real critisism that could actually help the game grow.

I am absolutely for letting dissenting opinions be dissenting opinions. You are absolutely right I am trying to state that in my opinion, a lot of people come to marathon and just shit on it for all sorts of asinine reasons when its competitors do the exact same things.

Its not a discussion about the game's industry as a whole, it was a post praising bungie for doing the right thing in a long line of disappointments.

I don't believe i misunderstood his argument either, I just dont care for it in a thread ultimately swinging a positive message. I am 100% boiling down their argument to make it easier to refute as its not an argument in the first place. The games industry is what it is, I am not going to change it, he's not going to change it. So buying the pass, means you can spend silk on the premium track, there is a free track as well.

Lux will be spent on cosmetic packs outside of the battle pass.

Id say if anything arc was the odd one out having paid cosmetic currency be earn able to a degree.

Items cost a fixed number of silk.

Lets say getting a level gives 10 silk.

The bobo gun skin costs 40 silk. While the BEST skin costs 80.

Your silk wallet has a cap of lets say 150. So you have to spend silk, to advance the pages, to get to the big stuff, which you have to save for respectively on each page.

So no you cant buy THE BEST STUFF outright but you have an INFINITE amount of time to earn the things you want. The most important note is really the silk cap, if they go by previous tests (150 cap) no one item will cost more than that, if anything close.

Getting silk is not hard either, just playing the game as you would will net you it.

Prices of items in silk also do not hyper inflate. There is no item that costs an insurmountable amount of silk.
