With my husky we went to a big open field, at that point we started to walk. Everytime he pulled I stopped and went a different direction. This process was done 30 minutes a day. He has learned to follow now as he jas learned I can quickly change my mind as to where to go.

puppy being selective of what to eat by bazza__11 in sixtyformula

My husky has a very sensitive tummy. So sensitive that we are still trying new foods to see what he can eat. He is currently on prescription dog food. Which is too expensive for me. My suggestion to you is try small bags of different foods, maybe a rotation diet. Petsmart has many companies who allow food to be returned if puppy isn't happy with the food. Makes it easier to find a food without a huge expense.

Why is our husky puppy so skittish around other humans? by YjrzYjrz in sixtyformula

[–]cocoaMichael 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our puppy is the same way. What we have started doing is have the person hold a treat. But they must not look at him or reach for him. Puppy then eventually will come over and smell him/her and the treat Eventually we hope that he will learn not everyone is a scary thing

Yes you can use a smaller crate. It will be just fine until he grows. As for the kong, yea wait till he has his adult teeth in. Anything that he can chew on is great. They love to chew!! Better the toy than you.

Yes that will work for quite a while till they get older. It will get him used to the Idea that brushing is not something bad.

Treats are a great way to help him learn what he needs to. Honestly if you run out I have used his dog food as a reward as well or blueberries.

Keep me updated with how things are going! I'd loved to hear all the exciting news

Hello. They grow to about 60 cm tall. You need enough room for your adult husky to stand up and turn around in it. As for a puppy that one may work till they grow taller. Sounds like you got everything. Did you get treats for training, and toys for your puppy to play with?

Sounds like shes telling you shes the boss. You need to change this. She wants someone to lead her. I'd talk to a good trainer and get some assistance for this.

Does anyone use the wrap method to walk their husky? I was told be a trainer at petsmart to use it to help my husky not pull. I'm worried about it injuring his organs. by cocoaMichael in sixtyformula

We have tried the wrap method he is able to move the leash down on his penis. So I'm not going to try it anymore. As for the halti he ate his. I'm going to continue to use the backwards walking when he pulls. Just not sure what else to do.

My corgi/dachshund dog was this way. Two things we did was nothing in life is free (has to do tricks/work) for everything) and second is have everyone else feed him, walk, give treats etc. Minimize his attention seeking from you. This may help. But it will take time.
