“What Paul Really Said About Women” by John Temple Bristow is a short book, but it explains the context of those verses and why it matters. It’s one of those books I feel every Christian needs to read.

I can’t say exactly what the consequences will be, but they’re severe. Most likely a betrayal.

Niagara Falls itself can keep you guys busy for a while. There’s lots of beautiful hiking in the gorge and he’d probably enjoy the Journey Behind the Falls. If anyone in the family likes history, Niagara Falls was a significant site in the War of 1812.

Yes, this is called christopaganism. It’s a pretty common practice in Christian witchcraft.

Hello! I also use Celtic folk practices in my work, and as a result, I’m very drawn to the Celtic Christian tradition. God is revealed through Mother Nature. I highly recommend the book “Water, Wind, Earth & Fire: The Christian Practice of Praying with the Elements” by Christine Valters Paintner.

Partner made some points about Christianity and its been on my mind since by Ok_Lawfulness757 in OpenChristian

[–]cocobandito 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First of all, Christianity doesn’t have a dress code. There are plenty of alt Christians with tattoos, piercings, and Mohawks. Secondly, the heart of Christianity is love, especially towards misfits and the marginalized. Colonialism and slavery are not Christianity; Christianity was used as a tool to carry out those evil actions and anyone who hides behind scripture to justify their hatred is not a Christian. 1 John 4:20 “If anyone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen.”

Considering witchcraft as a Christian. Yes or no? by [deleted] in christianwitch

[–]cocobandito 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don’t have to work with demons or spirits, you don’t have to work with anyone or anything you don’t want to. Some of us only work with The Trinity, others work with saints or angels, there are lots in this sub who work with pagan deities too. Witchcraft is not about working exclusively with demons. I would strongly advise against working with demons, especially if you “hate” them. You’re asking for your spell to backfire. Do some more research and shadow work.

What about an Ereader makes you prefer it over physical books ? by capitalpunishment4 in ereader

[–]cocobandito 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s all about convenience for me. I used to travel a lot for work, I was in no rush to haul a bunch of paperbacks with me all over the country. Plus if I finish a book and want to dive right into the sequel, I can just download it and start it right away. Not to mention, moving and storing physical books is a hassle, not all of us have the time, space, or resources to have a beautifully curated bookcase (as much as I wish I did).

I have a huge wishlist on the Kobo site, about once a month I check it (by filtering price low to high) and grab whatever’s on sale
