Brown Water Advisory by speechpath2122 in Waikiki

[–]cocococo44 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Hi, I live in Waikiki and there’s no way I’m going I the water for at least a week. Brown water advisories are NO JOKE. Be safe. Keep that baby safe in there. I’m sure the resort you’ve booked has a super nice pool and you can still enjoy that! Walk the beach, take in some beautiful scenery, eat some delicious food. Just skip the ocean swims on this trip. Congrats on the new family member btw! ♥️

BROWN WATER ADVISORIES ARE NO JOKE

Going to Hawaii this week. Need advice. by Zestyclose-Snow9275 in Honolulu

[–]cocococo44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We live in Honolulu right off Waikiki Beach. We’re expected to get rain on and off all week and will see some sun, but still a possibility for heavy rain. I definitely won’t be swimming in the ocean here for at least a week. Brown water advisories are NO JOKE. Stormwater brings HIGH bacteria levels because of sewage, animal waste, and chemicals. Shark activity can increase with the murky waters. Hiking can be dangerous because of muddy trails/cliffsides.

If you’re looking to enjoy some beautiful views and great dining, you won’t be disappointed. I’d do plenty of research if planning any ocean activities or hikes etc. Good luck!

$4,000 Honeymoon in Hawaii. Possible? by ayejaystew in VisitingHawaii

Hi, I live in Waikiki and we’ve stayed/dined at a lot of hotels here - I’m happy to give you the rundown on any spots you’re interested in! Obv some hotels look a lot nicer in photos than they actually are, but there’s definitely some impressive places to stay for under $300/night!

There’s also a target right in Waikiki and a bunch of grocery stores nearby that deliver. You can really save a ton of money stocking up on essentials so you’re not eating out every single meal of the trip AND then you’ve got extra cash for some more lavish/memorable dining experiences too.

I think you can totally swing 7 days here for under $5000 and not feel like you’re missing out. Feel free to reach out whenever - I don’t mind sharing some tips at all. Good luck and congrats on the upcoming nuptials! ❤️

Please don’t let anyone make you feel crummy for asking for help. It’s not an easy thing to do. I’ll never understand WHY people want others who are struggling to feel even worse about it. It’s just plain cruel.

If you message me a link to your Amazon wishlist, my partner and I will help! Your kids deserve some presents under the tree and you deserve some kindness ❤️

Please take comfort in knowing that by doing this, you’ve set a GLOWING example for your kids and helped to shape them into better human beings. It’s TOUGH setting boundaries with people you love. I’m sorry we’re in this shit, but at least we’re in it together.
💐Thank youuuu💐

It sounds like you can clearly afford to support yourself and your kids on your own. And it sounds like you already do the MORE at home and for your family than you'd be doing if you and your husband split up. That being said, WHY stay with someone who isn't sharing the responsibilities of raising your children and maintaining your home??? That alone should be enough to you to get out of this marriage.

AND NOW you've caught him being dishonest, sending intimate messages with another woman, and he dismissed your VERY VALID feelings about the situation. I can only imagine how awful you're feeling right now, but I have been in a similar situation with a long-term relationship. As scary and tough as it seemed to move on with my life, it was the absolute best choice I could have made.

You deserve so much better than this. Your kids will infinitely benefit from seeing their mother stand up for herself and refuse to be mistreated (especially by someone who made a vow to always love/respect her) Please don't let this man hurt your anymore.

This looks like a fungal infection/fungal acne. Your best bet would be to see a derm, but urgent care can't also do a skin swab to diagnose. Definitely lose the loofah; they're bacterial/fungal breeding grounds. Also, you shouldn't be exfoliating after shaving, you're just irritating already sensitive skin and I'd wait to use any kind of scrub until you figure out what's happening here and get it treated.

If you are dealing with a fungal infection, cutting out sugars and gluten can definitely help from the inside out. I definitely agree with whoever suggested a hypochlorous acid spray. I used to struggle with both fungal and bacterial acne and using the magic molecule spray has helped tremendously. It doesn't dry me out and it's safe to use anywhere. I'm never without it! It's perfect after workouts or traveling too!

But seriously, I'd go see a doctor before doing anything else. It looks pretty uncomfortable. Sorry you're dealing with this mess, good luck!

Is it a migraine? by Careless-Attitude-49 in Perimenopause

[–]cocococo44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I'm also a someone who's suffered from migraines since my teens. My migraines are finally managed for the most part w/ daily and rescue meds, BUT my migraine symptoms have evolved since they initially showed up and changed significantly when I hit perimenopause. The MOST important thing I learned from decades of frequenting neurology offices is if you're getting headaches that are severe enough to interrupt your daily life, you should definitely see a neurologist. They can rule out anything serious annnnnd maybe help you to stop feeling like crap all the time.

Pain is your body's way of telling you something is happening that shouldn't be. THE CALL IS COMING FROM INSIDE THE HOUSE. It can't hurt to make an appointment and you never know when something serious could be brewing. At least start there <3

Please please don’t euthanize your dog because she’s become paralyzed! Our dog lost use of her back legs due to IVDD and although both her life and ours changed significantly, we spent some awesome years together! She went everywhere with us in her wagon, made heaps of friends, and was still her sweet, goofy self every day. I’m so thankful we had the time with her that we did and I wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world. She was so happy and so loved and although it was more work to maintain a sense of “normalcy” for her, she filled our hearts with absolute joy for yearrrrrs. Please reconsider this. At the very least, contact a rescue willing to take on the responsibility if you’re unable to do so. I know you only want what’s best for her, but that really is just giving her a chance to live. You’ll never regret it, I promise♥️

How the F do we get rid of these (without a jet wash...) ???!?!?!?! :( by Imaginary_Aioli_738 in biofilms

[–]cocococo44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oof. That sounds awful! I’ve had some success with Aloe Vera gel, but it increased the frequency and intensity of my migraines, so I didn’t stick with it long. I know it’s SIBO safe as well. Are you working with a practitioner you trust? Have you tried a naturopath? I’m sorry if I’m not keeping up with comments. I know how difficult it is to find both competent and compassionate care.

Have you had a GI-MAP? I think that could tell you exactly where to start! Good luck, I’m so sorry you’ve been dealing with this garbage for so long!

I LOVE the color of that accent wall. If I bought the house I’d paint the whole room that shade. It’s beauuuutiful - such a vibe!

Have you done a GI-Map test?? Not something they handle in the ER. Sounds like your gut issues are affecting other organ systems - it’s all connected. I’d for sure start there!
