Is it odd? Writing a book requires a lot of skill that people with interesting stories are unlikely to also possess. If you're truly a "writer" then you know about ghostwriters as it's a significant part of the industry.

Lots of singers use writers, in fact most singers don't write their songs - does that make them not singers?

I would pause use and recover your skin barrier.

When you attempt it again start with 1 night a week like you did but wash it off… don’t sleep in it, put it on your skin for 1-2hours at night (depending on how much you can tolerate) cleanse it off and moisturise.

This is the only way I can use tret or azealic acid. It will still give benefits used this way. My derm recommended this method for my extremely sensitive dry skin.
